    Twisting, Winding Roads

Yes, Skyline Drive and the Blueridge Parkway are an excellent drive. Route 6 across the top of PA is also a good drive, more scenic than twisty-turny. The TAMIAMI Trail just not doing it for you? ;LOL

    Brake Woes

I purchased the caliper rebuild kits and a friend come over Saturday to help out. The cylinders were very tough to get out and there was a ton of grit in the cylinder bores. We honed out the bores but got stymied trying to get the new seals installed. In the end, I figured it was best to go...

First time buyer looking for Advice...

I have a 92 Z07 6-speed coupe and a 97 6-speed coupe. I would take the 92 any day over the C5. True, the C5 is a bit more refined and definitely has more power. But my 92 is just plain nicer to drive. It's hard to explain -- the clutch, shifter, seat, steering wheel, controls, ride -- it all...

    Brake Woes

Thanks very much! You know, my wife says I can't find the mayo in the fridge either...maybe she's onto something :L I think I'll try the rebuild kit first, simply based on the cost factor.

    Brake Woes

Hi all, I have a 92 Z07 -- one or both of the front calipers seem to stick and lock up every now and then. Applying the brake again seems to free it up. I'm thinking the pistons are shot. What are my options here? I can't seem to find rebuild kits or new calipers for the Z07 brakes. What to...

Radar detector -My Vette's new best friend

I lived in VA for 19 years and so could never own a radar detector. When I moved to FL a few years ago I purchased a detector. It was nice to have my civil rights back ;) Personally, I like it for long trips -- it helps to keep me alert.

    No Parts??

I always get the guy behind the counter who moves the mouse a bit, clicks a couple times, and then, with a mildly surprised look on his face says, "well, I can't order that part any more".:ugh

    No Parts??

Thanks guys. Funny thing, I've been restoring 69 Firebirds for the last few years and you can get ANY part. Mostly Chinese junk, of course, but even 1-year-only parts are readily available. I was a bit surprised I couldn't find a caliper, repro or not. So, I have some additional repairs to be...

    No Parts??

I've had my Z07 '92 coupe since '95 and I've only recently had to start replacing parts. Last summer I had to replace the adjustable shocks (long story) and to my surprise, no GM shocks were available. Ended up going with Bilsteins. This past weekend I put new pads and rotors in. It seems...

    Side View Mirror Help

Wow. Thanks guys. Vandalism did cross my mind at first, but I discounted it. I guess it is a possibility. Sad if true. What exactly get replaced? The spring assembly? Can't be the entire mirror, can it? I guess I'll be heading to the dealer....:ugh John

    Side View Mirror Help

Hi all -- 1st post on the forum and I need some guidance. My vette had to sit out for a few months under cover this summer. When I finally removed the cover I noticed my side mirrors had become "floppy". It's as if the heat melted what was keeping them together. See the pics. Is there some kind...
