    I would take the alternator off the car and take it to a shop that rebuilds your alternator, that way you have the original still with the car.They may be able to test it on the car so you will know if it is bad.

    you might want to test the new core before installing it, sometimes the new one can leak.

    check for 12 volts on the wires going to lights, if it is there, then probably a grounding issue.

    Could be the rubber hoses, are they original??? They collasp inside, and don't let the fluid flow.

    Sometimes the screws are rusted in, spray them with rust penetrator, give they a while and then try them. I think you can get replacement parts from vendors.

    Weel, I went to tulsa to get another hood, at DOC"S corvettes. He had it ready and I was in and out in about 5 minutes of time, AND it was cheaper than the one in ST.Charles.

    OK, the owner of the shop was going to Bloomington, and the other man working there eihter forgot that the shop was not going to be open that saturday, or just wanted the sale to get my money. Either way, the owner should of thought of a way for me to get so satifaction, like offer to meet me...

    I think that is the least he could do. He could of shipped the hood to me at his expence since I am out of pocket a lot of money and time. I could of stayed at home and made $250.00 doing my job. I'm also out alot of time driving besides the gas money!

    Heard of"Just Corvettes" in St. Charles, Missouri ?? STAY AWAY from them!!!!! After months of trying to get them to check for as hood for my car, they finally returned a call saying they have one, gave credit card number to hold the hood, and asked if they were open on saturday so I could go...
