Im not on this site often so I may not be back for a response soon but:
It sounds like you are having a headlight gear problem. The gear inside the headlight motor is made of plastic and frequently the larger one strips. Telltale signs are possibly a chattering noise when they go up or down, or...
The wider, thin one (on the left in the picture) goes across the back against the back of the tail lights. It hangs (as you said) from plastic wing nuts that have hook molded into them that screw onto posts that hold the trim pieces against the inside of the car. Two on top underneath the bottom...
I went down to put the new Insurance card in the vette the other day, just the smell was driving me nutz...spring !....spring ! when will it be spring :hb
I have Grundy (agreed value). Havent filed a claim but they are good to deal with. I read up on what was available out there a bit before I selected them, well respected. Works for me.
Good luck :thumb
Thats odd. Have you had it apart?
Reason I ask is that its pretty unlikely to be one of the pivot points unless you have had it apart (they dont really wear much and if they were working and werent touched, theyd still be working).
The housing pivots on two bolts in the top rear (dont recall...
BTW, its not the CCA, most of the batteries discussed will do starting duty just fine. The reason (and source of the confusion) is that the original spec for the C5 was a 90 RC (Reserver Capacity) but due to parasitic draw even when parked and completely shut down it was found you will do better...
Hib, might I pick your brain a sec ? :D Just for an opinion.
I had my A4 2001 Coupe (73k, basicaly stock, blackwing, axel back, ECS wideband street tune, normal casual driving, occaisonal spirited runs, no track driving) serviced a while ago, just maintenance, had the tranny pan dropped (so...
I guess the application would be for people who find that they use the car right at the limit of when the parasitic loss starts to effect them. So in that case, may allow those people to leave the battery connected "almost all the time" and only have this system as a back up to dc it when they...
Its probably me thats not understanding, but it would appear that you are describing a situation involving three sets of wheels when I assumed you were speaking about two.
Normaly in an exchange program, you get chromed ones and you send them the same type of wheel back.
You are speaking of...
Im pretty sure they will only take oem aluminum wheels if thats what they are giving you back. So if you are looking for chromed oem wheels (which btw are an excellent way to go) you would have to trade in oem aluminum wheels.
Unless you are saying that yours are in such good shape that you...
:rotfl "I dont tip, I over tip, its a thing we do . . ."
Thats from a movie, but we say it all the time because we do it (Mom was a waitress years ago when we were growing up).
It absolutely true :upthumbs
We say it all the time, "nothing like the vette community" and other testimonials on the great lengths we often go to assist the other members, info on solving mechanical problems with the car, advice on where to go for mods . . .
That makes us.....cliquey ;LOL...
Dont know if you've tried it yet but I feel the buffeting is significantly reduced by lowering both windows about three inches.
I use it much more with the top off than on :D
Gasp :ugh (cross forum misdirection)
Sorry, I ahve been known to frequent more than one forum discussing Corvettes.
I did not realize I was referring a "blue" member to a section in the "red" world.
Mea culpa . .
