We sure had a good time yesterday hanging out with Jack. After we got his car aligned, we sent him off to explore our little area of Ohio. He came back to BUDS at about 7:00 PM and we headed to Celina, Ohio to a little local place we call CJ's. Got Jack a big old fashioned Ohio tenderloin that...
If it is truly show quality, I'd say 40ish. Now if it a frame off and has a restoration worthy of an NCRS or Bloomington award, it would be more.
Show quality is a tough term to pinpoint without actually seeing the car.
Just my opinion based on the info given.
Based on the information given.................. 50K is probably not out of line. All original doesn't always mean good things though. A deteriorated original would need many thousands spent to bring it up to usable/showable condition. Now, a good true "survivor" that has had good care and...
It might be a combination of things. What kind of carb do you have ?? Maybe your carb is drained of all fuel after a few weeks of inactivity. Having no choke might make for some of your difficulty too.
Take off the air cleaner and pump the accellerator a few times to see if it is getting fuel...
Not unusual, but you are lucky to find it. It was just garbage at the plant and luckily someone pitched it on the floor for you to find many years later ! Nice find. Funny how some cars have none and others have multiples !! :)
BTW, I am right down the road from you, in St. Marys !!
If it's for a driver I'd go ahead and use the pellets. I work with a guy that put them in his 69 to stop a small leak................................... 25 years ago and it's still good !! :)
You mentioned your car is "matching numbers", so just inspect the area where those numbers are on the block. Assuming your car is a 4 speed the suffix for L75 is RD. The suffix for L76 is RE. If by some lucky chance it is a fuelie, the suffix will be RF.
Now if it is a 250HP it will be a RC...
Yep, they have been around for a little while and they show up at different retailers. I have one on my desk !!! :cool Sounds like you got a good buy on it !
Power brakes are easy to ad and will not harm the value, in my opinion. Make sure your car isn't a fuelie or 340HP, as the oil pan will not allow room for the power steering dampener. 340's and fuelies used the larger pans and were not available with PS.
Yep. It's the BUD's collection. The 93 is a 40th anniversary. Best part................ it's the last 93. VIN # 448. We recently sold the entire collection as a lot. The new owner is now looking to sell.
I took the entire collection to Bloomington in 95, when we owned them. All are Gold...
Not surprised to see the locks on Zora's wheels. He and Elfi also had a 72 Chevelle Malibu with those wheels. Elfi recalls the story of the time when she and Zora returned home from a trip and the wheels had been stolen from the Malibu. Right in their driveway !
I just noticed that cars arriving this week 1-9-07 do not have the handle on the inside of the rear decklid for assisting in closing. The indentation is still there, but the "handle" is gone !! Anyone else notice this ?? VIN's of the first two cars I noticed this on were 21883 and 22074.
