    Targa Top Panel Disassembly

It sounds like you do not have access to a factory repair manual. I would suggest if you plan on doing much of your own work, you obtain on on CD. They can be had for very little and free if you download it from the internet. Here are the instructions for removing the weatherstripping...

Used C4 Market (Beware, im venting inside)

What happens at the big name auctions with cars from the big name hot rod shops has absolutely no bearing on the used car market, which is what this thread is about.

Used C4 Market (Beware, im venting inside)

Mods not only hurt the value of the C4 but make it extremely hard to sell as well. A modded car that still needs work is what we used to call a "basket case" (no insult intended to the OP) and will never bring anywhere near fair market value for the year/model/mileage base car. Look at the cars...

    chrome engine parts question

I thought about getting some of those cover pieces as well until I went to a couple shows and saw some cars with them. I'm not saying anything critical, they just aren't to my taste. I elected to go the polish, paint and modestly accesorize route.

    Fix up or trade?

I'd sell and get an LT1 car in good condition. They can be had in my area fo $10-13,000 no problem, $15-16,000 for a really nice one.

I don't know if it's an issue for you but I've heard with the long tubes on an automatic, you won't be able to run cats.

    Can this be right?

Is that with GM parts or aftermarket? The reason I ask is I've read at least 100 posts on the subject and the consensus seems to be the only way to go is with the GM parts.

    Can this be right?

Just got a couple quotes for replacing the weatherstripping in my 96 CE using GM weatherstrip................ one was $1700 and the other $1500. Sound right?

    New (to me) 1996 Corvette

I just purchased a 1996 Collectors Edition Coupe with 51,000 miles. The vehicle appears to have been very well maintained and recieved service from the Chevrolet dealer where I purchased it. I plan on keeping this Corvette for at least 5 years and would appreciate any input regarding common...
