6 speed car is perfect in every way. Only 43,000 original miles. Pewter color with light grey and black interior. 4031 FRCs were produced in 1999 insuring this to be a future collectible classic. Until then it's a great car. I've had this car for 11 years. It has never been raced, tracked...
It's for my 66 coupe. Has a good running 350 in it now. Trying to make a politically correct driver. Can pick up anywhere in mid-east. Any condition will be considered. Also needs a paint job if anyone knows a reasonably priced resto outfit in the Md, Va, DC area.
I'm deoing the dd install in my C5. I want the DVD and Nav to work while i'm driving (for the passenger of course). Instructions say connect the green wire to the parking brake so I figured I'd just skip that step. With it not connected DVD dosen't work at all. Help!
I have just recently bought a 99 FRC w/25k. The motor makes a very faint whistling noise while running. Is this normal or a vacuum leak? Car runs perfect. If vacuum related where is the most logical place for a leak? Trying not to spray WD40 all over my engine if I don't have to..
TIA...
I want anoither Corvette. I had an 85 (POS) and now its in my blood. Just the way driving a Corvette makes you feel!
I want a C6 but obviously can't afford one. A C5 would be okay but I would have to sell my 350Z DD (per ol lady).
I have found a really nice 95 6 speed for a reasonable...
I have a crack in the Acrylic top of my 85. I wasn't too worried about it until I jacked the car up yesterday and saw how much flex these cars have. The crack opened up like the Red Sea when I jacked up the front right.
Upon doing a search I've seen two suggested fixes although the threads...
Anybody know the procedure for installing the horn button on an 85? The backing plate is attached to the button but the assembly WILL NOT clip onto the wheel. Do I need to remove the wheel or what?
Thanks!
Hi! Anyone know the procedure for removing the dash pad on an 85. Just got my new (used) one from Vette 2 Vette Salvage. It looks easy but the old one won't budge (I've taken the two screws out of the defrostewr vent) and I don't want to tear it up. Thanks!
I know, I'm my own worst enemy. For every two things I fix, I probably break another.
I got lucky as my anti-freeze spillage was due to a heater hose and not the water pump. So everything is back together and it drives perfect, well almost. The only thing I notice isn't working now (besides...
Dad gumit! Had the project vette all tuned up with Platinum plugs, cleaned the throttle body and new brakes and rotors all the way around. Just set the idle and the damn bottom falls out! Anti-freeze everywhere. It got on the belt so I can't tell where it's coming from but once it heated up...
I need a set of VISORS (Black or red), a RED CONSOLE BOX LID) and a AUTO GEAR SHIFT KNOB if anybody has a parts car. REAR TRIM is also needed but due to its fragil nature, I'll probably have to go new on that. There is something called a CONNECTOR THAT IS an L shaped PVC valve (without the...
Finally found a local Corvette Club. Shennandoah Vally Corvette Club (SVCC). The meet once a month (in winter) in Boyse near Berryville VA. If anyone is interested their next meeting is March 3 at 5pm at the Lone Oak restraunt. They do a lot of Charity rides. Probably a little more laid...
Originally I thought I had a bad u joint but they all checked out. My noise, a thumping under acceleration occurs only when there is a load on the drive train. If I either let off the throttle or downshift it goes away. A fellow Corvete owner said it's probably the exhaust rubbing one of the...
