"I have spark at the coil" My '96 LT4 did the same thing! It was a bad coil wire going into the Opti. The boot on the wire was split, and shorted out on the back of the waterpump! Look closely at the wire, and twist the boots to see if they are cracked.

Opti??? Check/replace your coil wire from the Opti to the coil. Mine had a split in the boot at the Opti, and was shorting on the back of the water pump.

1962-Rear axle seals leaking. I have put new gaskets on the retainers, and new "O" rings on the bearings, and coated the housing where the bearing rides with silicone sealer, and they still leak oil on the backside of the tires. What am I doing wrong? Is there a seal I'm missing?
