I get a code 09. low Freon. I had the Freon check, completely recharged. New AC system in 2013. Work great last year. This year the clutch will not engage. By pass all controls and go direct to the compressor and clutch will engage. So now I check the climate control and I get a code 09...
I guess i should did the search before I posted. Now is the Tach located in front or rear of block. Not a real wrench here, but what is the level of difficulty of doing this on my own. Starting to make some calls for estimate this morning.
thanks
90 with 91,000. The last few weeks I notice my Tach bouncing all over the place, but after the car warms up, then its operates just fine. Could this be a ground wire?
Need some advice.
Thanks
headlight switch, Assembley
Dumb me, took my headlight switch apart. Need a photo of the Assembley.
My switch didn't work (or I thought so); turn out to be, just the knob broken.
Have any idea on where I can get a photo of how it’s put together. I have one small screw left. I look...
So far the climate control works ok, but I do remember at one time I drove around for the half of the day and I didn't see any change in temp. I shut it off came back out from the store and drove to the Mountains and then it started to work again.
This is my first vette, so I am finding all...
I guess whatever works the best for you. I tried the IPod as well, but what I found out was, it was tuned into FM stations. I received allot of interference with the music. Maybe it was just me. I bought my MP3 (ZEN) from Wal-Mart, and bought a 4 gig sd card (soon 8 gig). What a difference...
Why remove the stereo. What I did, just bought MP3, used cassette player and works like charm. Total investment under $100.00 and 2,000 songs later.
just my 2 cents worth
1990, 350,
My radio, radio antenna, interior light, control temp, and AC don't work. I was trying to reset my theft on the car. I kept turning the ingition off and on. When I finally i got the alarm off, then I notice nothing work.
What did I do? Check fuse its Ok. I put a meter on it...
That was just $80.00 for the adapter, and how much for the player?.
I guess it comes down to personal preference. IPod or MP3. I think when you down load for Ipod you have to do it in different format. I don't know all the details of the formats.
I will say that I share my music and I...
Yep, that FM tunning sucks. I tried the Ipod, forget about it. You can goggle the Zen and find out alot info. Now there is only one down side I found to be some pain and that it the glare from the sun. Its hard to select a song. So the way I got around that is, just put all the songs in one...
you are right, but I guess I did not like having all those CDs in the car. I think we had over 100 cds, plus the case. We always had to watch to make sure we didn't store them in sun or trying to hide the case, it was just a total hassle for me. Now I have a player that will fit in my front...
I also bought a charger, which was only $6.00. My total investment was about $100.00, sure was worth it. The sound is great. I did not like the Ipods, due to you had to use a FM station to tune them in. Here is just put in the cassette and thats it.
Most of you already knew this, but I thought I would pass this along. My CD player in my C-4 is old school. Works ok. But if you hit a bump sometimes it skips. So I went down to Walmart and bought a Zen MP3 player (2 gig) for $70.00 and used the cassette player adapter. I then bought a 4...
I have a 1990. Ok after twice breaking the Antenna.:puke I thought I might go back and watch them how they do it.;shrug
Tip 1. Don't be stupid like me and just cut the antenna cable off.:bash if you have any cable left at all. very slow pull out the cable from the motor if exposed on the...
