I removed mine yesterday , they are just glued, take some 40 lb.test fishing line and work it like a saw behind the strip..Its friction helps it melt thru the glue and wont damage the paint at all. After the strips are separated from the body you will have some residual glue which can be rolled...
I had the BSM's (body side moldings ) on my 2001 and really didn't like the way they looked. After checking into the Action Center I found a suggestion on how to remove them.. Just go to your local fishing supply store and get some 40 lb. test..Work it like a saw,as described, it heats up enough...
