    Thanks for the reply, Im thinking I will just use the weld in pieces and try to get some type of rust killer in to stop the rust. The car will hardley ever see bad weather again and spend the rest of its life being pampered and stored in the garage.

    hooker side mount problem

    I have a new set as well that are verey loose, I have not run car yet but was thinking, thats going to rattle. After I get the car running I will drill and bolt the muffler in if its a problem. I have the stainless headers and the more quiet mufflers, at least by the description of them. BigTom

    Do you have 02sensor hooked up in your car? My manual does in fact say that the computer does control the lock up in 1981, And I assume that the 02 sensor would have some feed back that would control the trans lockup, I have hooker side pipes and no 02 sensor bung in them, I am building this car...
