I'm starting this thread with the purpose of showing the rebuilding and re-birth of 1992 #474. This car was wrecked at the drag strip when the right rear tire blew at high speed. The car ended up riding atop the guardrail, bending the frame. The passenger side frame rail was damaged by the...
Once again, a thread about a fake car has been locked on the Corvette Forum. I hope they move it to the CAC. Should have been here from the start anyway.
It wasn't near as lively as the Fake #029 Thread that was discussed here last Winter.
Well, I just got back from the NCM C4 Gathering. It was a great time. There were more ZR1's there than ever before. Tommy Morrison, John Heinricy, Jim Minnecker and Dave McClellan were all in attendance, along with Ralph Kramer and Hib Halverson.
There was a very informative seminar with all of...
Well, I finally finished this one up today. It is a late vin and was in aweful shape before the frame off restoration began. I have an early 53 painted and ready for assembly to be completed by the end of the month...hopefully. Probably mid May.
Here's the late vin 53 being delivered tomorrow...
Well, I finally made the deal on the ZR1 of my dreams. My good friend, Tyler, put me in touch with Geoff and said some kind words on my behalf.
I am purchasing Geoff Jeal's 1988 Prototype EX5023 car. I've watched this car for a couple of years. After speaking with Geoff, we both felt that...
Well, I just got back from the NCRS Winter Regional. What a treat it was to inspect the real #029. It was so nice to meet the owner. What a nice lady. She was very appreciative of the NCRS and everyone else involved. NCRS awarded her a Certificate of Appreciation for displaying the REAL #029 for...
Hey guys, I was wondering if there was a market for hand laid fiberglass reproductions if priced for around $225???? Not junk parts. I have made molds from a pair of GS NOS flares and have plenty of experience making quality parts.
If the demand is there, I will pursue it.
They would be made of...
Well, I'm not too shy to post pictures of my Fastback project. Here are some pics of the roofline.
This concept and build was my vision and desire. I had started this venture with another person. (Checkout the old CF threads) Shortly after the molds were made, I cut ties with the other person...
In a CF Thread titled Busy Winter Ahead 53-54, I was just asked if I was restoring the "real" 1953 #029 by "Gscott".
My answer was simply put;
"Nope, 1953 #029 is being restored by a reputable shop in FL".
My posted reply was deleted twice......WHY? :confused The thread wasn't even about...
Well, I'm finishing up the 53 and beginning work on another 53 and a 54 Corvair Fastback for a great new customer. The Fastback will be great fun after doing so many NCRS restorations. I'll post progress pics as I proceed on both cars. I won't give out the vin numbers per the owner's request...
Hey guys. Where, besides the windshield frame, is the vin number located on a 1990?
Is it stamped on the frame somewhere?????
Is it in the body tub somewhere also???
Thanks
1953 #245 completely restored to NCRS/BG standards. This car is well documented with history to original owner. Joe Chess, founding member of NCRS owned this car for nearly 30 yrs. Fresh, full frame off restoration with NOS or original restored parts. Kennedy top, all #s/dates match. Spare tire...
I have four 1984 wheels with first design Goodyear (reversed lettering) tires. The tires are no good but the wheels would be good to restore.
$200 for all OR make me an offer and I'll make them yours!!!

Hi guys. The fuel pump works fine but the gauge shows empty on the digital readout. Anyone else ever have this issue? If so, what was the fix, before I begin replacing the sending unit needlessly.
Thanks
Brett
