I seen on youtube people revving their engines in neutral. I alway heard that revving your engine like this would damage your engine. Is this true, or just a old wives tale?.
In the near future, I'm looking to put a procharger on my 2001 Z06. I also heard somebody mention they put one in a d blew the engine the first time. I'll be putting on long pipe headers with a cross pipe. I'm already running with B&B route 66 mufflers and a hurricane cold air induction system...
I was talking to a friend about adding more horsepower to my Z06. He had mentioned I can install a chip instead of adding a cam, or different heads. Is there different chips for different horsepower?. I'd be very interested in this, and who sells them.
I need to remove the center councel to remove my shifter:W. Is there an easy way to do this, or is this going to be a pain?. Let me know what tools I'll need and if there is any tricks on doing this. I need to look at if the last owner placed any greese on the stem of the shifter that goes into...
Hey everybody.....just got home with a 2001 Z06 I bought from the Poconos :happyanim:. Just had a question about the shifting:W. When I take off slow, I have no problem going into 2nd....but at a higher RPM, it wants to go into 4th and is very hard to get it into 2nd. Is there something I have...
I first placed a thread in here about a black C5 coupe I was going to be buying :eyerole. I've decided to buy a Red 2001 Z06 with only 26k miles on it :happyanim:. I think this will be a better buy, and I'll try to keep the tires on the road....anything I need to know about this model???
I'm buying a C5 :happyanim: this weekend and want to know if there is anything I need to know about this car. I already own a C3 but I am selling it to buy this black beauty. Please let me know about the Coupe if any, or what to watch out for......Thanks :thumb
Well guys, I'm selling my 1981 coupe to purchase.....dare I say it in here.....a 2002 Z06 :eyerole. If anybody is interested, please let me know, and drop me a line in here. I wish I could afford to keep both, but I can't at this time :(
We have always loved our cars, and we will always think ours is the best one out there, whether it's been built for the 1/4 mile, or just to go cruising through town to show off . We will always take pride in what we do to make our car look it's best no matter how much time it takes . People...
I noticed while under my '81 vette that my rear composite spring has splintered a bit on one side :ohnoes. Are these easy to replace, or should I take it to the shop to have it done? ;help.
This is the first time with my vette I've had to change spark plugs :ohnoes. I got the driver side done, but the passenger side looks to be more of a challenge :W. I placed a few pictures from underneath and was wondering if I have to drop the starter to get the shroud off that protects the...

Here is a small modification I did to my '81 air cleaner lid :thumb. Some of the older guys will remember taking their air cleaner lid and turning it upside down to not only to get more air, but it made a really cool sound when you jumped on it :cool. I found out you can do this on an '81 or...
I figure since the vette is up in the air, I wanted to change my fuel line from the pump to the carb :). I've tried to remove it from the carb with no luck, but was able to loosen the bolt at the pump :). It seems that I'm getting way to much gas coming from it and was wondering about how much...

I'm changing my entire exhaust system on my '81 coupe, and need some help with the bolts that hold the system to the manifold :confused. Mine are sort of rusted since it's the original system and I will try not to break them if I don't have to :ohnoes. I also sprayed them heavy with Liquid...
