No, mine are the real deal, I noticed there is a difference in the thickness, might be a difference between the racing and street versions. I called Dymag and they said all of their wheels are magnesium.

I am finishing up my Plenum porting project on my ZR-1, next will be refinishing the Dymags. I have Gen IIs, and was wondering if Dymags require different lugs & of what they are made. Also curious are Torque specs different on true mag wheels than Alum stockers? LGAFF1 92 ZR1 #234

My Dymags are in decent shape, no damage to the rim, just scuffs in the epoxy primer that was used when they painted the rims a charcoal grey. I also noted that they use this stuff(prokote) on Jet wheels which are magnesium. My guess is that magnesium is not as fragile as its sometimes made...
