If the "modified version" of the wires are just extensions of the old ones you could just cut of the modified connector if it has one and reattach the factory connector. Or find the male end of the new connector to fit the one already in your vette this is all assuming that the new modified...
After 2 years of work it has almost payed off. The only thing left are some minor things and to paint... but i cant decide what color. Anyway would it be a good idea to hold off on the paint until i know there are not and major problems because it hasn't had much driving time in a while. Also...
Thanks for the picture duke. Now i know what i am working with because i was wondering how that end sat in place when i was looking at the new cable. I,m gonna try to go from below now i already tried from on top and that got nowhere.
i removed the upper dash pad and still doesn't seem like i can get the cable off of the back of the tach. Do i need to remove the right dash pad that the tach and speedo are in. and its a cable the runs off the back of the distributer. i am going to try to just replace the cable and see if that...
I am trying to replace my tachometer cable and i am guessing its behind the dash and im required to remove it. but before i go and do that can anyone confirm that thats were it is and you cant gain access to it from below above the pedals. and and helpful hints about doing this would be much...
Ok ill just take the old spring out for the bottom. As for the leaving the cap off and purging the system, i did not know i had to do that since this is my first time replacing it.
Thanks everyone for the help.
Ok the old lower hose did have a spring in it i will have to get another one. should that fix the problem because the top one collapses too and i didnt change anything about the cap.
I just replaced my thermostat and the housing along with both of the radiator hoses. Plus i flushed out the system. Does anyone know why the hoses are collapsing?
Thank you,
Doug
On my 74 the pump is not below the bottle it is connected to the wiper motor. It pumps it threw a tube that goes threw the cap and into the reservoir. I think that the pump is just messes up.
I looked in both my manuals and neither had anything about it. I have already got a repair kit and put it on but no difference. Also i replaced all of the hoses in the system along with a new cap on the reservoir. So i guess just get anew one i was just wondering if anyone knew of anything else...
My window, power window motor, and regulator are already out. Unfortunately i didn't take them out myself, it was like that when I bought it so what I really need is how to put it back together.

I have gotten most of the work done in the past year. Now it just down to pretty much just making it look sweet other than some things that i am going to do first.. Im not worried about keeping it factory at all, it already has a lot done to it. The fenders are flared out which i absolutely...
Thank you every one for all of the help and encouragement.I will be sure to check out all of those places. Ebay was a good idea i didn't think of that. Also the Hollenger's interface manual will be a huge help and i will most definitely get one, that should save a good amount of money. I will...
