Thanks guys! Well I just checked my vacuum line to the valve and no suction. I should have looked at that to begin with. I'm going to poke around next week when I get back from vacation and I will let you know. Mark

    81 Corvette electrical problems

I have all 3 options, pwr locks, pwr windows & defroster. Windows and defroster work but no power locks. I replaced the harneses at the back of the switches on the doors cause they looked a bit crusty, but they still don't work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Mark

    Heat from under dash???

Hello everyone, I finally got around to changing out the water shutoff valve but I still have the "hot feet" problem;shrug. I'm not sure where to dig next, maybe I will check to see if all the vacuum lines at the temp controls are in their right place. One odd thing happened after this...

What is the name of this part ?

I need one too! Could not get it anywhere. I replaced my old one with regular tubing from the auto parts store. I cut the end off that goes into the air cleaner off of the old one and stuck it in the new tubing so at least it's still doing it's job. best regards.

    Heat from under dash???

I got a picture or two but can't make out what's what??? I will try to post some scans later on. I ordered a valve anyway, it seems inexpensive so I might as well give it a shot before I dive into the vacuum hell....

    Heat from under dash???

Thanks again for the help. So the hoses feel very hot on both sides of the valve when the engine warms up, so I assume the valve is stuck open. But with that said, I pulled the vacuum hose to see what happens and my headlights pop-up, that leads me to believe maybe there's some vacuum lines...

    Heat from under dash???

Thanks everyone for the quick replies, at least I know where to begin. I really appreciate the help. Is there a way to test the hot water valve? There is nothing on that in the shop manual???

    Heat from under dash???

Hello, This is my first post, forgive me if this has been asked before. I just got my '81 couple of weeks ago and I noticed that I'm getting a lot of heat from underneath the dash or somewhere in that area. It makes for a very uncomfortable drive, especially on hot days. All climate controls...
