    Question: Fire Breathing Dragon...

John, you're a gentleman! That is exactly what I needed to hear! :beer As soon as it stops raining, I'll take her out for a spin and check to see if I can see a level on the side.

Why do C1 and C2 have to "share"?

Guys, don't give up on it. The UK Corvette forum is VERY slow in the C2 section... in fact, calling it a Ghost Town would be making it sound lively :D I was pointed in the direction of this place by the previous owner of my car and thus far, it has proven to be invaluable. I personally think...

    Question: Fire Breathing Dragon...

Hi John, Some of the questions I can answer right away, others I will have to check when I get back home and can take a better look at the car: - 1. Do you know the history of the radiator? Is it the original or a replacement? Correct configuration? I believe the rad and much of the cooling...

    Question: Fire Breathing Dragon...

PS - just so you don't think I'm asking questions without reading other relevant posts, I have and while this thread: - http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107187 ...did help, I question how much is relevant as my car isn't running hot (the temp gauge is new and working...

    Question: Fire Breathing Dragon...

...well maybe not fire but definitely breathing steam :D I got stuck in some pretty heavy traffic a few weekends back - a jam to be precise (in the region of 45-minutes spent crawling along at 5-10mph). By the time I got home, the radiator was blowing water out of the expansion pipe (as...

    Keys?

Hadn't had my coffee yet... Doh! What was I thinking! :duh As it stands - one key works for the ignition, one for the passenger door and the 3rd one seems to be a dud! Another job for the winter! My guess is the locks / ignition have been swapped out at some point.

    Keys?

Hi guys, When I bought my C2, she came with 4 keys (2 that match and 2 others). The actual key fobs are from a later Corvette/GM-product (I'd say circa 70's - the rectangle shaped ones). I've bought original shape key blanks (2 octagon topped and 2 pear shaped) and wondered if someone could...

Question: New Owner - a few questions...

I'm getting used to it. There is definitely too much play but I'm going to keep the wheel as-is and get a mechanic to look over the steering rack, etc, when it goes in for a bit of work over the winter.

    New C2 Owner...

Thanks for the kind comments and the welcome :beer I'm glad I did get to do an extended drive on Saturday as the weather has been miserable ever since! With some luck, we'll get some sun by the end of the week and I'll be able to drive her to the office on Friday! :thumb

    New C2 Owner...

Just a quick note to say hello and introduce myself. I'm a new Corvette owner, living in England, who collected their 1966 427 Roadster yesterday. I bought it from a friend who is already a member of CAC (he was the one that tipped me off about this place!). Thankfully I had some lovely...

Question: New Owner - a few questions...

Thank you for your responses Hib and Barry! :beer I guess as much with respect to the steering wheel - my guess is that I'll have to work on my bowlegged driving style :D I may speak with Mota Lita and see what they have to offer but I'm not keen to sacrifice the stock look. With respect...

Question: New Owner - a few questions...

Hello everyone :) My first post on this forum as I will be collecting a 1966 427 Roadster this weekend (from another forum member / friend). The first question is reference the steering wheel - I'm 6'3" and found the stock wheel didn't give my knees/legs a lot of room; therefore, can anyone...
