you're going to love this one.
2001 Vert is what it is.
The antenna was acting up so I thought I'd pull the mast (yep, the drive cable too) and look it over.
I got a new antenna cause the old drive ribbon/cable was getting chewed a bit.
I put the new antenna in. It extends perfectly but...
Good day folks,
Looking for a battery cover (the one that covers the entire battery area), black plastic, what have you.
Also need a CAI for the same car, it's an 02. Prefer Halltech but will talk about anything. I'm NOT interested in a Varaam. :mad
Thanking you in advancing...
Jim
... shall we?
I don't believe mine is working. I've been told that the headlights need to be on in order for it to dim SO, I've tried it with the headlights on, and at NIGHT (I know, I know, call me crazy...) :ohnoes
It ain't doin' nuttin'. Anyone have any idea how to go about fixing it...
We all know how our memory seat 'memory' screws up sometimes. Sometimes it won't return to the easy exit position, sometimes it will. Having just unlocked the car makes everything SEEM to work pretty well.
When it DOESN'T move to the 'easy exit/entry' position for you, try this scheme...
So, I know there's that button in the middle of the mirror that turns on and off the auto dimming feature.
BUT...
How do I tell if the silly thing is actually working? (please, no comments about driving it at night...:boogie
Jim
and bailed me out by selling me a used seat track for my 01.
He charged a VERY fair price, shipped instantly, and was just a great help.
Thank you Art.
Jim
I recently had occasion to be in a Chevrolet dealer with a friend who was car shopping and the salesman's desk was right next to a black on black C6 vert.
What ELSE would I do? :duh
I couldn't believe my eyes. This was the WORST paint job I've ever seen on a new car. No, REALLY. It looked...
anyone?
AJ suggested I check with these folks to see if I can get the door that covers the ash tray/cigarette lighter (he's a pretty smaltzy guy, that AJ).
Heck, I'm a big spender, I'd even buy one. :rotfl
TIA,
Jim
Gene at GMPartsHouse.com has always been a super vendor and he's done it again.
I needed a piece for my 93 vert and Gene, as usual, got me the part, shipped it in quick time, well packaged.
What a great supplier.
Thanks Gene,
Jim
I've just put new wipers on my vert and these wipers are the NUTS.
I got 'em through 'amazon', yep, amazon. They ain't cheap but BOY do they work super.
Me likey pretty much.
Jim
Yep, I'm starting to get into the nits on my car and this is driving me nuts.
As you can see from the picture, the left tips are hanging lower then the right. I'm pretty sure that others have encountered this and are as anal as I am about things like this.
Ideas, tips, free beer? Thanks...
BUT,
I need to know if anyone knows who might have, sell, give away, throw at me:
The door that covers the ash tray/cigarette lighter. It's black, it's got a tear in the vinyl and I'd like to replace it.
Gene doesn't list 'em so I'm stuck.
Any help, as you might imagine, is truly...
I'm selling:
front license plate cover, in Quicksilver Metallic. Stock, 6speed shift knob, key, and shift pattern insert.
I'm in need of:
and ash tray door (the large one that covers the ashtray AND the cigarette lighter)
Thanks in advance,
Jim
The 'new' car is an 01, 6 speed. It has the steering lock still enabled.
The build sheet shows a Required Field Action of type RC, 04006, Electronic Column Lock System, posted date "N/A" and status of 'closed'
Huh?
Any thoughts on now what folks?
TIA,
Jim
that I got on a trade for my 02 auto.
I've ordered the Hurst short shifter and look forward to installing it.
Anyone done this change over and have any tips or thoughts for me?
I do, of course, have the install instructions. I'm a competent mechanic looking for tips and tricks. :beer...
I'm about to buy an 01 vert that has the side trim 'spear's on the side and I want to remove them.
Anyone had any experience with removing these without harming the paint, etc?
Thanks in advance,
Jim
