Wel I have a 1979 L82 with the 4 spd trans. Now do I have to pull the engine to do the clutch or can I pull the trans out? I have a fixed crossmember so I cant unbolt that. I have some people telling me I cant and then I some tell me I can. So Im not sure what to do.

I think I might go with a Sachs Clutch. I found a OE replacement one at a local auto parts store for $170. Thats not bad price. I have heard they are good clutchs.

What about LUK or RAM clutchs?? Has any one used them?

I have a 1979 L82 with alum. head intake ect. The car is 4spd and the throwout bearing is bad. So I want to do the clutch but im not sure on what manufactor of clutch I want to get. Also I was thinking about upgradeing to like a stage 1 or stage 2 clutch. Do you have any recomdiations?

Well I got the engine for $400 with a 30 day warrenty. I will see what size it is. Then engine still has some balls. It will still spin the tires and slide the car. So its not too bad. Its mostly low rpm.... but I think cast intake. So I might swith to the torker 2 intake I have.

well i needed to be running so. I got a junkyard 5.7L 350 now im not sure what the engine out of but from the block casting it should 200 + in hp so. I cant read the stamp pad. some numbers are unknow. I have the engine installed and its runs. Im going to save up some and go from there.
