Hope to do some motorcycling up your way one day!
Good for Danny! He made his money and "voluntarily" shared it with others!
But he is no different from the rest of us when it comes to our own healthcare ... he wants the best option for him and his family. Fact is the U.S. is where most want to go for healthcare, even with all it's past...
Maybe just basic math: "cost to build vs. market will pay" = profit ratio, add your "credit to debit ratio" and then adjust to beat your competition in the current economy and market demand = Balance sheet @ end of month ... if they don't add up on the + side you have a problem. Perhaps the...
Yeah, but at least Ford wouldn't accept the bailout money... makes you wonder how all these American car companies got into so much trouble ... I regress !?!? :beer

HKVette,
Your argument is the same principle used for pay scales of CEOs who have helped build Fortune 500 companies or managed billion dollar national/international companies and...
One last response to your comments (and this is all in good spirit!)
(1) My Dad voted for Carter and then for Reagan, and at 83 wishes he could vote for Reagan again.
(2) My greed comments were directed at "both" sides not just corporations that you talk about. Do you know what Union Leaders...
My Dad worked on railroad for 43 years before retiring 1990. He thought Unions started out with right motives but like every organization when given enough power, money and control they become just as useless as the persona they paint on management. Dad believed in the old days that Unions...
I would have been happy to own either a "Sting Ray or "Stingray" ! Not so much a contest between C2 or C3.;)
I love my Z06 and very satisfied with it to date but was very glad to see GM honor the past "stingray" name with the C7. I've owned a custom 1976 (also have owned a 2003 Anniversary...
DITTO !! and the z06 "427" w/ minor mods (cold intake, corsa exhaust, headers) is dynod @ 540hp (why look back!)..... perhaps a z06 version is upcoming for the new Stringray... (hw, the Stringray 66-69 is my all time favorite vette - almost want to buy it just because it is a "Stringray" ...
Anyone,
1. I had some radio buttons damaged by some grease (took part of background color around the numbers off to white plastic) on my C5 .... does anyone know where to get replacement buttons????
2. Also, my display setting lights are very dim on the A/C panel (so dim at times...
Thanks so much for the help. Good to know not to search for vac modules if not on the 700r. I purchased the 703 page Cd and assembly guide but have not had a chance to look at it yet (I am in Japan until next week on business). I've never heard of "TV cable..." and would appreciate it if you...
Yes, 70-80% of time it feels like it grabs. Yet, 2nd thru 4th gear is smooth (above 25+ mph) and when coming to a stop it is also smooth (only when first engaged or 1st shift
thks for help!
It would probably be best described as grabbing, it actually does not slip once in gear (bad use of terms) but feels like it goes into gear hard (vs. smooth transition).
thks

I have a 79 rebuilt tranny with 700r auto. Just purchased...it was in taken out of storage for the winter and finished last season in good shape. Now hw, I noticed a little grabbing (or slipping) from 1st to 2nd... all the other gears work fine and it down shifts normally. I noticed it was a...
Sending unit
My 79 was doing pretty much the exact same thing. I replaced the oil sending unit (near the oil filter on 79) ... NOT the oil switch (as some mistake it) and it has worked perfectly for 2 weeks now. I bought it from Advanced Auto for $18.:beer
