diff noise and loose around corners Had this problem with my 68. go under and check for excessive end play in diff yokes. Have seen these literally wear out snap ring grooves. Put up in air and use a pry bar and check travel. Mine where totally worn out and had to replace.

trans question Bolt that holds filter on gets tightened snug. Filter itself will move up and down as per chevys design.

rebelrob, went through my 68 front and rear suspension using parts from Dr. Rebuild. as far as shocks, i went with KYB's out of jegs. it's a gas shock that makes car ride just right and wont bounce your kidneys.
