I completely forgot about this thread... Im so sorry I never finished it. Well it is over two years old now and I've had the C6 seats in my car just as long. I had to just get rid of the old mounting spots since they were in the way of the new rails. I wanted to keep them so I could go back to...
I just have a quick question. For the life of me I can not find any info on the stock size sway bars for a 1990 ZR1. I have a base model 1990 coupe and I was wondering if there is a size difference for the diameter compared to the ZR1. My front is a 26mm and my rear is a 22mm. Im considering...
Ok I pulled everything off down to the fuel rails and found out the regulator mounting block is shot. The crossover tube that is leaking was doing so because the housing that is supposed to be holding the O-ring is gone. The mounting block looks as if it has been eaten away. So now I need a new...
I think I found what is wrong. After warming the car up again today and trying somethings out. I heard a bubbling/hissing type of sound while the motor was off. So i traced the sound to my rear crossover tube on the fuel rails. The O-ring on the fuel pressure regulator is shot and letting gas...
Hey guys I havent been on here for a while... I have a 1990 C4 with and automatic transmission. My car is having trouble starting after it has been warmed up. It starts fine cold and if I turn it off for a minute once its warm it will start right up. But if it sits for a few minutes it seems...
both the C4 and C6 seats have the brackets riveted on to the rails and there is no possible way to use the old rails on the new seats. they are too different. today i looked into it more and all that mounted the old seats is 4 bolts and 2 very thin pieces of metal under the car on the floor...
ok after pulling out my passenger seat i see that there is no way i can use the stock mounting brackets on the new seats. im going to either have to try to make some metal brackets that bolt to the original seat mounting bolts that will then extend new bolts to where the new seat brackets need...
I just picked up a set of C6 seats cheap off of craigslist for my C4. I was wondering if anyone has done anything like this? It looks like i'm going to have to use the mounting brackets that came with the seats that attach to the slide rails but i'm not sure. both the C4 and C6 seats have very...
My 1990 did something similar to this. it drove fine all day and then i went to bowling league which is a mile from my house with no troubles. after league i get ready to leave so i start my car and it starts idling like crap. it kind of sounded like i put a mean cam in it except it would just...
I have got a 90 coupe automatic with 5 problem/questions about my instrument cluster.
1st- when i am doing about 50mph in overdrive at about 1800rpm the shift light comes on?
2nd- the seatbelt light never turns off?
3rd- the tach needle randomly decides when it wants to be lit up at night...

check the vacuum hoses that are connected to the cruise control vacuum valve. it is located right above your battery. if one of those lines are bad then you will have no vacuum going to the valve to pull the cable going to your throttle body.
ive raced c5's and c6's in my c4. and i have gotten to drive my friends c5 and my dads c6 and i have to say the performance and handling of those cars are just on a whole nother level. however i love my c4 and its feeling of driving more of a muscle car with sports car feel and look. the c4 only...
