The Targa top rear mounting body hardware is on the way. My next project is the weather stripping. I've looked on the internet along with a few other sources including this forum for information and it seems the more info I find the more confused I get :ugh.
Its a 1984 and as noted above I'm...
I had a similar situation with my 84 when I first got it. The difference was that mine would start and never failed to start. I was having acceleration issues and when at a full stop it would miss very badly and if I remember correctly it did stall out a few times. I tried everything I could...
I'm getting ready to order new removable top rear locator brackets for both sides. I'm also going to order a few extra rear attaching bolts. Is there anything else that would be suggested or make sense to replace while I'm doing this project ? Maybe the rear locators themselves !!
The weather...

This has been a thorn in my side for many years. When I first got it I was limited as to when I could take it out due to the issue with the dash and also the top. After removing the dash and replacing the bulbs and cleaning all the...
Can you remove the mounting bracket that the rear bolts screw into ? I looked it over but I didn't notice any bolts that would allow that bracket to be removed. That would be awesome if you can remove it.
Thank You :beer

I haven't tried a helicoil yet but I did consider it. When I first tapped it out it seemed like it was going to work. It did for a while and it looks like it would be tough to try and get enough metal drilled to put the helicoil in. That metal looks to be VERY hard metal. I was hoping there was...
I've had this 1984 Corvette for 8 years now. When I first purchased it, it had a few issues that I corrected the first year I had it. I removed the illuminated dash and replaced all the bulbs and cleaned the contacts. It also had a very bad hesitation when at a full stop then acceleration...
I have an 84 with the bolt hole stripped on the targa top. the bolt is not stripped its where the bolt screws into. Im not sure the best way to fix it or if there is a piece I can purchase for this. It is the passenger side rear that I'm having trouble with. Any suggestions would be greatly...
Im going to do the interior. Remove the seats, carpet, maybe a new radio and speakers and anything else that may come up. Any suggestions would be great. I just purchased it in August and it is my first Vette. Its a 1984 with 108,000 miles but runs great. The Dash has its problems. I removed it and...
This is my first corvette and it runs great. The one problem is the rear passenger side of the Targa top. The threads are stripped. Can this be replaced and if not is it best to tap it or use a helicoil to fix it.
Thanks for any info
