Nitrogen (N2) is one of those things that just hasn't caught on that well. I was in the custom motorcycle business when the tire companies started promoting the use of it.
It started because N2 is used in commercial and airline tires, (and race tires) which have more stress and much higher...
Yes they are just reflectors...so if you open your door in traffic, they can see it as they rip it off the hinges.
My Dad used to say: "The only stupid question is the one you don't ask".
I just put new covers on my '99 seats, and while they were out I fixed the sloppy track (rocking seat issue), and had the same trouble while assembling the driver seat. As mentioned above, the post had actually gotten pushed back into the seat. I just pulled the post out with a pair of vice...
The Cyberdine decals are very nice. They are a puffy decal instead of the flat vinyl, and they look like they are very high end. They make them in several uncommon colors, too. I got white dash letters and a wheel insert for my wife's car, and they look great (red ones like in my car are...
I have to agree with you. I like my C5...
I have liked the C5 since day one. I was impressed the first time I saw one back in '97 and got the itch for one shortly after that. Bought my '99 in 2000 and I still have it more than 10 years later.
Once or twice a year, I start entertaining ideas...
Glad to see you pulled the trigger...
I wasn't sure you were convinced at first (while you were discussing it in the parking lot), but I think they look great.
They really are super-accomodating there. They did a great job on my wife's interior (Snowite), and I am in the process of putting a...
A buddy just moved up from a C4 to a '97 Coupe, and it needs a little TLC. I've helped him with some of the basics like programming the fobs, replacing the air dam, and a few other things. When he bought the car, the seller advised him that the driver's seat was inoperable, which is true...
A friend of mine in high school (around '73) had a '66 Malibu that he put a 454 with a blower in and drag raced. It had that exact scoop on it. He got it from J.C. Whitney. Man, I wish I had a pic of that old car...it was so cool....
Several things indicate that it is/was a 327/365 car. High rev tach in the dash, radiator appears to be the aluminum that comes on 365, and if the manifold looks to be aluminum, that would jive. Only the numbers will tell...
Very good info. Thanks for posting. I have yet to determine if she actually saw one or not. I was telling the story to a car dealer friend yesterday (who happens to be from the town where my wife spotted the car), and he tells me that he recalls one of the dealers in the area telling him...
My wife's '01 convertible. I designed and personally modded this car to honor my wife's successful fight against Breast Cancer, and to honor her fellow survivors. As of April 2010, she is a 10- year survivor.
I've done some investigating. There were three verts made, with one being a stick. One is owned privately (i believe), one was wrecked and totalled a few years ago, and Kerbeck supposedly owns the other one. It must have been a mistaken observation or maybe a repaint...who knows.
Possibly...
My wife went to visit a friend in a small town East of us today, and when she came home she was telling me about a C5 she saw at a gas station today that was a "weird" color...but she really liked it.
Of course, she doesn't really know (or really care) about such oddities, so she...
Welcome.
You are buying a 100K auto. The items you list would not be uncommon for such a vehicle.
The front lights you mention not working, are they the DRL (daytime running lights)? If so, the previous driver may have pulled the fuse for them...many do this. If not, they are not that hard...
