I need to sell my 1980 Top Flight car. I was thinking about asking $19,500 for it. The NADA puts it at around $21,000 and I heard that Top Flight can add 10%. The details are below.
What do you think?

I’m thinking about swapping my original GM carb for an Edelbrock. I have a 1980 L48 with an auto and egr. Will any of the Edelbrock carbs fit without making any other changes?
Thanks,
Steve
I have checked some of these things and will look at the rest. I do disconnect the vac advance and plug it when adjusting the timing. I can not get the idle down to the recommended setting because the engine shuts off. I did hear that the balance could be off because of the gasket.
Thanks...
Thanks for the information and I’m sorry for the remark above. It’s just that I’m getting frustrated with this car. I’ve been working on it for 3 1/2 years. Two weeks ago it received top flight from the NCRS and I’m happy about that.
But the problem is it just will not idle well. Now I’m...
I read through this and I can't figure mine out. The car is a 1980 with 14k miles on it the tires (that came with the car but are not on it) have under the DOT.
MJUU CY1429 and to the left of the DOT is 3042.
They are Goodyear polysteel.

I’m planning to take a trip in March to Bowling Green to tour the assembly plant and the museum. Can someone recommend a hotel? Are there anyother good things to see in the area?
I’m taking it out for a long drive today, about 200 miles. That will be the test to see if everything is ok. Then I can put it away for the winter knowing I can drive it next year. The car only has 14k miles on it and I would like to drive it more.
Thanks for your help.

I finely go my car fixed today. The problem was the screws going up through the carburetor from the bottom were loose. After making them tight and reinstalling everything the engine idled smooth. I was then able to adjust the idle mixture screws and the idle RPM’s. Then the timing could be...
Thanks for the info! I found this one on eBay and it said for 1980 Corvette. But I don’t always believe what people say. Some people don’t know what they got.

My setup is not the same as what you show in the picture. My pump is attached to the outside bottom of the windshield washer tank. And there are no ports on the motor.

JohnZ,
I’m not sure I understand. This hose looks to be an overflow or to pressurize the tank. I can’t find anyplace on the wiper motor to attach it. But I will keep looking.
