I just ordered the Magnaflow cat back exhaust from Performance Peddler and need advice on removing the stock exhaust system. See

I attempted to remove the exhaust system last year and was only partially successful.

Searched the forums but didn't see how to do this anywhere.
No problems doing the front pads, but....
I'm trying to replace the rear pads on my 93 w/auto transmission.
The FSM says to disable the automatic adjuster on the parking brake before removing the caliper to replace the pads.
I...
My roof panel started making horrible crunching and squealing noises in the front corners recently. Yesterday I removed the roof and discovered that the "hold down plate" that positions the roof in the windshield frame and accepts the bolt had loosened on both sides.
The noises were from the...
On my last venture out, one of the chrome (over plastic) lug nut caps came up missing.
Searched Mid America Motorworks and looks like they sell them, 20 at a time! $39.99 plus shipping.
They also sell a complete set (21 actually) of stainless lug nut caps for $44.99 + shipping.
It would seem...
Tonight when I started my 93 LT1, it sounded like it kicked back against the starter, sort of like if the timing was advanced too far, before it started.
It seemed to run normally, except every 10-12 seconds, it blinked "sys" in the speedometer display. I had it set for coolant temperature, and...
When I changed the coolant in my 93 LT1 last August, I was able to purchase coolant that met the General Motors spec 1825-M5 that's noted in the factory service manual for this engine.
Just got back from shopping for coolant, and the specs on the package now are mostly "Meets ASTMD-3306 and...
I have a friend with a 1995 LT1 (auto transmission) with two problems that could be related.
The torque converter doesn't lock up and his cruise control won't engage. The car has been like this since he bought it last year. He only mentioned the problems in passing recently and I haven't had...
I purchased this car late last year and only drove it a little while before storing it for the winter, but I noticed the heater performance was pretty poor. I never owned a car with auto temperature control and just attributed it to the control system.
Since the weather turned cool here in New...
My 1993 automatic hot idle speed is about 500-600 rpms and is a little rough. Smooths right out above that speed and runs well throughout the speed range.
It also smooths out with the A/C on as the idle kicks up to about 900 rpm.
Do I have a problem or is this normal? This has been my 1st...
I got the front of my 93 engine wet doing a little cleaning. I thought I was being careful but some water ran down the front of the engine behind the alternator. That's all it took. Started OK but ran like it was wet (idle cutting out, cutting out and pinging when applying throttle under load)...
Hello all,
I'd like to install roller rockers on my 1993 LT1, not so much to improve performance (that would be nice, however) but to reduce friction and ease the side loading on the valve guides.
I did a search of the knowledge base but didn't find anything so I hope I'm not asking a...
I just repaired both lumbar air pumps on my 93 coupe using the bicycle tube fix as described in the tech archives.
Does anyone have any long term experience with this repair? It seems the motor is working very hard to move the much heavier bicycle tube diaphragm as compared to the original much...
I hope I'm not repeating a question that's been answered before. I searched in vain, but couldn't find anything on this.
My C3 had a vacuum switch that could hold the headlights in the "up" position for cleaning, bulb replacement, winter operation, etc.
I haven't found anything in the owner's...
I'm looking for a factory service manual for my "new to me" 93.
I just saw one go on EBay for $82.
I just checked EBay again and there's another listed, however, the seller says:
"It is BOOK 2 of the pair. This is the most desirable one of the pair, because it is for driveability, emissions...
I recently purchased a 1993 40th anniversary coupe. Love the car but winter is approaching.
I've searched the site but haven't been able to find how much of the car has to come apart to remove the battery.
Looks like the lower fender panel has to be removed, but it isn't obvious how to get at...

I just put a deposit on a 93 40th anniversary edition (ruby/ruby).
It's an automatic that's loaded and is being sold by the original owner. He still has the window sticker. The car is just about perfect for 43K miles.
Anything about this year that bears looking out for? The car drives OK and...

Looking for advice. Any and all will be appreciated.
When I bought my 1976 Sting Ray the parking brake didn’t work. I spent some time over the summer trying to get it working. After getting the rotors off (of course the last guy to pull them didn’t bother to line up the holes on the axle...
My 76 had a transmission swap before I purchased it and the speedometer is registering very low. 25 mph indicated is closer to 55.
It has a "OK" differential, which, I think is from a 1978 model year, 3.08 ratio, according to the Corvette Parts Interchange Manual.
Can anyone advise what color...
