Just installed a refurbished factory Bose head unit, and now have proven that my front speakers are shot.
Most likely the amps.
Anyone have some they want to part with?
Jim
Update:
Installed a refurbished Factory Bose Head Unit which works great
(although it proved that my two front amps are out - but the rears work good).
Just had a four wheel alignment done. Alignment is spot-on!
(since I replaced some bushings while doing the rear half-shaft U-joints)...
Thanx.
There are a few out there.
Most on eBay in similar condition are $13K to $16K.
There is one about 40 miles North of me with less than 15K miles, but he's asking $26,000.00 (ouch).

(It's my second 35th Anniversary car... I had a new one back in '89 - Hence the 28AGAIN plates).
This car has been on eBay multiple times...
They are selling the Audio attachement, but use the car listing to link to it.
I have already reported them to eBay.
Last time the car was sixty-some-odd-thousand-dollars.
I manage a towing company here in California.
You would be amazed at the number of lock-out calls we get because people's key fobs don't work, and they have no idea that they can even use their KEY to open the door.
And these people drive amongst us.
This might sound stupid, but are the hoods any different on the C5's between a Coupe or Convertible (or even a FRC for that matter)?
I was looking on a website at an aftermarket hood and it stated it was for the C5 Coupe only.
Didn't make sense to me.
Thanx,
Jim
Thanx. In truth, the sunlight was being good to me that day.
I had literally just rolled the car out of one of my garages to take some pictures.
It's one of the reasons I like White cars so much... even a dirty one can look clean from a distance.

For what it's worth...
I bought one of the clear plastic replacement panels and have my plate behind it. Of course I have a white plate on a white car, so it's not as glaring. Here in California, the clear plastic cover is also not legal (and I have one on the rear too), but with the plate...
Wow, some interesting common ground here...
I had a 1978 Trans Am (Smokey) back in '78. Loved that car. 403 Olds engine (CA car), WS6 suspension, Black velour interior (hey, it was the late '70's).
I currently have a 1988 35th Anniversary Edition C4 for sale, and I'm talking with a guy from...
I used to live in Escondido back in the early 80's, and I still have family in the area. If I get any more serious about this car, I'll send my cousin over to give it a good look in person.
Thanx,
Jim
I understand the caution about being suprized by pictures. I probably give people too much credit in their photography because I have purchased two Limousines, and one Corvette over the internet, but was not disappointed in any of the conditions once I saw them in person. That luck can't hold...
