Preppping to replace a fuel pump in my CFI. If I replace it, and go to an 85 (to enable future mods), how much of the assembly should be replaced? I've seen many fuel pumps on ebay that look like generic relacements, which scares me, and I've seen complete units including pump and fuel level...

Just bringing my 84 out of a multi-year hibernation. Got spark but no fuel. Cannot hear elec fuel pump cycling and running when I turn key on, like in my other cars. Can't remember if I should hear the fuel pump on the 84. Any suggestions appreciated on troubleshooting fuel delivery, thanks!
