Hi, Looking for $45,000....
Need to sell my 64 coupe. Matching numbers 365 hp engine & 4 speed,. Rear end is a 3:70 from a 1969.
Beautiful frame on restoration in 2007, fully sorted, runs great, drives perfect. Radio, clock (quartz) all work.
Everything that needed to be done was done...
If it is a reproduction mirror, I had the same problem. Vibrated so much at freeway speed could not see back.
Tried glue in edge, no good. Tried jamming clear plastic strips between glass and edge so it did not show, worked for about a month then slipped all the way in.
Finally got...

Little more about this car: Over the time I have owned this LT4, replaced most every part even if it was not necessary at the time. This includes Opti-Spark...
112k miles, Z51 suspension.
Too much to list: New carpet, great orig seats, new interior trim, new NOS ZF Trans, rebuilt rear with 4.11 Dana gears, New Goodyear F1’s, C4 undercarriage cross brace, new GM dual mass flywheel, new clutch, rims trued, balanced and recoated, new bearings, short...
I had one of the LT 4 emblems on my car. They stopped making the silver ones. Found a custom decal guy in Canada who delivered 3 sets of decals to me in 1 week for less than $10.00. Had a set made with a red chevy bowtie and black LT4 and a red bowtie with red LT4. (used the black bowtie/red...
My LT4 which was purchased last year was one of the recalled cars for the rocker arm problem. Local GM dealer pulled the service records for me and it showed that the work was done. Also, the same local dealer was able to get my build list from his computer.
Just had my CE LT4 3.45 swapped out with a 4.11. What a difference, especially in daily driving. It feels like the ratio GM should have done if they were not concerned about gas mileage (same reason for the 1-4 trick)
Anyways, when you are going in city traffic, can stay in third all day long...
My Corvette shop told me not to put in a lower temp thermostat. Instead he reprogramed the computer to turn the fans on earlier.
There may be an issue with a thermostat that is too low. Remembering this from old days before electric fans and computer controlled engines.
A thermostat does...
Corvette Radio Repair
I sent my radio directly to http://www.corvetteradios.com/contact.html.
$65.00, repaired and inspected the head unit, very quick turnaround. Highly recommend sending it in before trying yourself unless you are very confident about taking the head unit apart, discovering...
The convertibles came with a undercarriage cross brace. As far as "feeling" flex, I was very happy with the stock c4 except when the top was removed. The key was that I felt a noticably better ride after installing the cross brace.
I have owned both C4's and C5's. One big improvement of the C5 is its extrodinary stiff frame with the center tunnel. The other is its great suspension. One of the reasons, I moved back to a C4 is that, to me, a C4 is a funner (made up my own word) car to drive. The C5 was smooth, powerful...
The cross frame brace install is pretty straight forward but takes a lot of steps. Understand there are bolt holes in the front of the C4 coupe frame where a convertible cross frame would go but there are no holes in the rear. (I do not know why, ask GM)
For the rear bolts, Dave supplies 6...
Here is the solution
First, had the camber brace on the car and immediately took it off. It eliminated 100% of the flex of the front suspension so it was a horrible street driver. Great if you are racing but you will hate it for every day driving.
Finally installed Dave's under carriage...
I recall reading a post awhile back about a member with a LT4 who had a vibration in the rear running gear of the car and he described how he replaced everything but the real problem was something simple.
I am in the same boat: It is after the transmission, have balanced all the half shafts...
You should consider just taking the resonators out of your car first. Cheap conversion, sounds great, get as much added power as any of the cat-back systme and something you can test for a very little money.
I have an LT4 and so does my friend. Always hard to get into reverse. If not perfectly in reverse, pops out. (really aggrivating that when you put the shifter back in reverse, it seems to only need a short push like 1/4'' or so). Everyone I talk to says it is a pain to get into reverse...
Things to consider: The camber brace ties your front end very tightly with no flex. This is great for racing but if you are using it for a daily driver, you may not like the very rough ride from the front end. What happens is that the normal flex in the front end absorbs a lot of the road...
From what I found out and this is through communicating with over a dozen shops, they can be resurfaced if the shop doing it has a special jig for it and they are careful.
GM clearly states not to do it. Most Corvette shops said they do have it done. A few Corvette shops said they had a bad...
