I've had this car for only a month and I'm ready to sell it. I have been fortunate to have been a part of Corvette Action Center for many years but it's time for me to move on to another kind of car.
First of all, I have owned and enjoyed Corvettes for years. When the C6 came out I was kind...
Boy, I thought it would never get here, but I finally picked it up today. Took a cab to Matson & picked her up after her containered ocean voyage. She was absolutely filthy, so the first thing I did was give her a bath. The black paint is flawless, and the black interior still smells new. I...
Okay, okay, I just bought the car and it's coming over on Matson. It won't be here for several weeks, so I'll get pictures as soon as it does. Even with the shipping I'm still coming out ahead, I got a deal on this car.
I'm so excited! It's used, a 2005, but it has super-low miles on it. It's practically brand new. Got it on the mainland, it's coming over on Matson. Black coupe, black interior, automatic, heads-up, memory package. Doesn't have the DVD navigation but I didn't want it anyway. I'll post pics...
Leave as little fuel in your tank as possible, I had a horrible siphoning problem which wouldn't stop during the duration of my injector change. To clear your fuel lines, remove the f/p fuse & start the car, this will remove the pressure. You may consider changing your fuel filter while you're...
The front spring on the C4 tends to sag over time, even though all the literature states that it is supposed to last the life of the car. I see many early c4s on ebay with a drooping front end, I don't think it's caused by engine degreasers, it's just age.
I replaced my front spring a couple...
Heh, don't get me started on mid-america. Napa has the diaphragm

I fell in love with the "new" C4 waaaaaaay back in 1983 when I first saw it in a magazine advertisement. I still think the c4 is a very elegant, stylish design, proportionally perfect, and timelessly designed. The restrained lines and curves on the car give it more maturity than the...
I did the exact same thing, the same speakers, and the sound on the Infinitis is crystal clear. My HU is the pioneer 1.5 din DEHP77DH and I'm using an Alpine multi-channel amp in the rear storage bin to drive all six speakers. Sounds great, even with no subwoofer.
I'm glad you like MA so much, but they lost me forever as a customer and I will never spend another dime at that place.
Last year I ordered a pair of their "quiet" mufflers and they were horrible, terribly loud, the entire car vibrated when I accelerated. I sent them back and got a refund but...
A few years ago I bought mass back from ACC, through a well-known vendor. The front carpet is fine but the rear carpet is very poor quality. Over time it has warped, it is all bumpy and wavy, I am ashamed of the rear hatch area in my car. Worse, It does not bend the way the factory carpet...
I once had dreams of restoring an early c4 convertible, and crunched the numbers, and even doing most of the work myself I figured it would cost around $20,000 to do a full restoration, on top of the car cost. Then I realized that I could find a low-mileage c4 convertible for that price, but...
It took me two hours to do the drivers side and when I was done it looked like crap because it got bent somehow. So I had to order another pair of seals. Sigh. I'm getting tired of working on this car, I see myself in a C6 sometime next year. God knows I love this car, but the maintenance is...
FOLLOW UP
Well, I found out today they gave me a refund for the mufflers, but I am still out several hundred dollars for installation & shipping, around $350. Basically I got screwed for $350 because MAD shipped me a product they thought I wouldn't complain about. Not a word of apology from...
When my heater core leaked, I removed the carpet and scrubbed it down good, glad I bought the mass back carpet instead of that cheap jute-backed. Anyway, let it sit in the sun for a couple of days until it was bone dry and installed it. There's really no other way to get rid of the smell of...
***UPDATE***
Just received and installed my new mufflers from partsamerica.com, aka Checker and a bunch of other chain stores mixed in I guess. These are the mufflers:

I agree with warp8, it's better to charge the battery than jump, which should really be for emergencies only. For one thing, your alternator isn't designed to charge a dead battery.
Thanks for all the responses, but I simply do not believe that brand new "quiet" mufflers are supposed to sound like this. I've owned C4s for years, and have never had new mufflers sound like this before.
I'll post an update when the other mufflers arrive and I install them.
This morning...
