Does anybody have the need for a Jet Performance Chip for an 82?
I have one and don't need it anymore. If interested e-mail me and make an offer. Relco218@aol.com
Thanks, Dave
I have a couple of items for a 1982 that I don't need anymore. From DCS --the special tool for adjusting the fuel presure. Also have a new aldl cable to hook your car up to your computer and get a read out of the car's performance. Check the aldl site for down load of the program. $40. for the...

Time to check out a local Corvette Club in your area. There must be one close to you. Go to a local cruise night and talk with some other Ceovette owners. You'll find a wealth of knowledge.
I think that your local dealer is doing a number on you.
Good Luck.

I wish all fellow members and their families a very "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year"! At this time of year, let's not forget all who are serving in the armed forces over seas and at home.

My guess would be that the battery might be dead. I just bought the car a couple of months ago. I'll try to program the one sensor and see what happens.
Thanks for the help gang!
Dave
OK, I think you are missing what I'm saying. All 4 sensors are attached to the wheels and are mounted on the car right now. I have one (left front) that isn't reading. That is the one I wanted to try and re-program. The rest are working just fine. I just don't want to re-program all of them...
Let me just throw in another question. Since I have only one tps that's not working, can I just test the one and leave the rest alone?
:confused:confused:confused

Trust me Dude, these guys know what they are talking about. I broke a thermostat housing bolt this spring on the 82, and was without a car till I finally found another manifold. I cracked mine trying to get the easy out, out.. Unless you've done this before, just bite the bullet and pay some one...
The C-3 is an 82. I've been restoring it since I purchased it in 01. It's up for sale, but for now it's keeping the C-5 company in the garage. Put a lot of $$$ and time into it and hate to just give it away, which is what most buyers want. The entire crossfire set-up has been rebuilt, rebushed...
I was missing one on the drivers side when I bought the car. Replaced it from the local chevy dealership for $2.50. If I lose another one, I'll superglue it in. hahah
Dave
Clyde, I just moved up to a C-5 last month so I know what you're saying. I still have my C-3, for now, and there is no way to compare the two. The 2001 has so much more to offer. It's an amazing car and I just love it. Love this forum too, lots of great info like the codes list I just...
This is how I did my 82 aluminum wheels. Spray Aircraft Stripper on. Let set for a few min. Spray again and start rubbing with fine steel wool. Spray with water to get the stripper off. When all the clear coat is off the fun starts. Rub, rub, rub, rub (get the point) and rub some more with...
Let's make this real simple, look at the front of your engine, up by the upper radiator hose where it goes to the goose neck (into the engine) there is a brass colored sensor with two wires coming out of it ( one black and one yellow). Go to your local NAPA, Autozone,Advance Auto Parts, or...
