1996 Corvette, Black/Black LT4 engine. - - ($9800.00)
Never been wrecked, has both tops (blue-tinted & Black painted) always covered (the cover goes with car as well) and kept locked in the garage.
Has about 98001 miles as of this morning (mostly freeway) miles.

I was asked by my wife to run to the store Sat morning for something she needed… Great! (an early morning drive in the Vette.) I’ll do it. Went to back out of the garage – Depress the clutch (it seemed a little funny) goes to the floor and feels really soft. Anyway, car rolls backwards...
i pressed the little button to open the center console lid - and the button does not spring back into place on my 96 - has anyone else had this problem? Happened in the parking lot at work this morning so I figured i would ask the folks here first...might give me something to do tonight...

I have a Black 96 LT4 with both Balck painted and Blue "see-thru" tops. My problem is the flat black trip paint on the painted top is peeling away and is now showing a bare metal trim piece at the front of the top near the windshield.
Has anyone else had this happen?

I had asked him where to start when dealing with my Black 96. It does have some minor scratches and one longer scratch on the RR qtr. (~12")
At present I have a new bucket, a new CA WaterBlade (thanks to my daufghter) and the desire to do it...
Well, as I am picking up a 1996 LT4 six speed on Sat. :cool - Now comes that REALLY hard part of "What to do first."
