Corvette registry
Using the C-3 Corvette registry you can plug in the options your Vette {you think} was built with....or you wished it was built that way and comes up with percentages used on each car....Where this information came from, I have no idea...but ..Whatever
I ran the options...
or even a 4.56.....4.1`s you can double the speed from the RPM`s....say 3000, 60 MPH, but a 4.56, 4000 will give you a 70 MPH...but that said, no reason for a 81 to have that or those ratios....maybe because the lack of horsepower in 81`s it was the only way to move it...just joking.....:upthumbs
As usual, late to the Party
My owners handbook for the 62 specifies '46`s and the OE plug in my 61 283/315 was 44`s and not the "S" suffix....I don't recall what was listed for the 62, however I`m almost positive it was not a 43 and that too is a FI piece....
If I was the OP, I would use...
It would be interesting to see what engine serial number is on the title or registration...all necessary to plate a new car.....I don't believe the car was plated without that information let alone get it past a insurance company irregardless what might be.... the logical explanation is that the...
Looks like another 'blame the starter thread.....any time I see 'heat soak' its almost wrong every time because if heat was a problem then nothing would work as everything gets 'hot under the hood... I would go along with the replys that focused on the grounds as the real culpert as no one even...
There called 'Rattle cans
A spray bombed Chevy 2 won best paint at the Detroit Autorama a few years ago and thats the top Custom Car show in the country.....they painted each part individually and then assembled it. So, break out the rattle cans....now thats cheap ......:upthumbs
The best gaskets for aluminum heads are copper and probably available in different thicknesses...I believe McCord was the supplier of the copper gaskets that were used on the L88 heads...they were the shim gaskets to keep the compression up....But I would say that Felpro 7733PT2 are soft enought...
Did you find a pump? Thats silly, you couldn`t continue on without it....Well lets hope your done with setbacks...I see you must coming through Canada.....good luck
Ironcross
Should I venture an opinion?.......:upthumbs' here goes,
Heres a black leather set in this 62 and 68 Vette. Besids being a heavier leather than others they are an 'exact reproduction in patterns and grain quality with zero deductions at NCRS events...
hi Tom,
The 62 that the cap is from is a 3400 serial number car. The 3751027 cap you described is apparently like my 'FE cap on my 62 that is number 7512. The early Vettes have a vented tank so the non-vented cap would be appropriate even though it might not be a OE cap. I didn`t want to sell...
The cap pictured below cam from a 62 Vette that was stored several years ago and I would like to know if it`s legit. If so I`ll sell it so I wont lose it like I normally miss place parts and then can`t find them....:D
Chuck Miller
