Fixed - it was the board inside the cover. Received a new one in the mail today.
If anybody has wiper problems... couple thoughts to pass on...
The FSM steers you towards the Park Switch in some cases. The Park Switch is probably the cheapest component. If suspected, it can be removed and...
Actually the spring issue was coincidental - it likely came off when I first removed the cover and was 'fumbling' with the park switch. This was while servicing the park switch for the problem of continuously running wipers/washer after pushing the washer paddle button.
Yes - all lined up...
Thanks! That helped.
The FSM suggested servicing the Wiper Park Switch for my specific problem but no joy.
My wipers turn on/off normally UNLESS I push the washer button on the stalk - then BOTH the wipers and the washer pump will run indefinitely irregardless of switch position until I turn...
Hello,
When I removed my wiper motor cover to check out the Parking Switch - the little spring that connects to (what I guess is) the parking pawl was not connected to anything else - it was just sitting in the slot in the white nylon cover to the parking switch.
I circled the one place I...
I have a 96 and my keyless entry remote has seen better days. The plastic 'loop' at the top of the case has broken and I can't keep it attached to a key ring anymore and must carry it separately.
I found a lot of aftermarket remote key fob 'holders' made of leather, silicon, etc. Most are made...
The lugs on the new Camaro wheels looks a lot like the plastic screw on covers used on later C4 sawblades. I'd like some lugs that look something like the factory plastic covers but maybe a bit longer (easier to finger on off) and these might fit the bill.
I'm wondering how well these lugs...
since you mentioned mid price point - Just finished a project with a cheaper brand of urethane made Sherwin Williams on a Firebird. I don't recall the brand off hand but can find out if interested. It was cheap and quite good especially for the price - my hope is that it will hold up well being...
WRT keeping it for now at least - Outstanding!
The rack and pinion upgrade would be well suited to this car I think and one I've been interested in for a while. So for purely selfish reasons I'd be interested in reading about that. And hope you'll stay involved in the C3 forum as well.
Thanks...
Boy, that sure seems to fly in the face of my "misinterpreted" understanding of GM4718. ;shrug
Rather than accusing someone of misinterpreting... - perhaps you could enlighten us with your interpretation? :confused
Also please reconcile the following:
Fact: You state "Synthetics have no...
Given the context of this thread and your response, you seem to be implying that, in present day terms on older non-roller engines, synthetics do not offer sufficient anti-wear additives but dino does? And if that's what you are implying - is that all dino or just gas engine dino (vs diesel)?
Good. I recommend keeping it with the car, boxed or whatever. But if you consider parting with it - don't toss it - be sure and sell it for an arm and a leg - it's worth at least that much to some in the NCRS for example. :)

While excellent tires can be had from Firestone under the Firehawk name etc. - I'm a little puzzled as to why you're asking about the 500s. Is this a new or different 500 from the one Firestone has marketed for years as a cosmetic performance tire? The 500s I'm familiar with are not available in...
Slightly off topic from the OBD1 discussion here...
I've also seen USB/OBDII (not ALDL/OBD1) cables cheap ($20ish maybe?) on a certain major auction site. These appear to be sourced from offshore - watch the shipping costs. Many seem to reference "VW/Audi" and others simply "CAN". I have no...
2nd Request: Define "a lot"? What percentage would you say despise C4s?
You're not under any obligations? Well I seem to recall you said:
Which was, to be blunt, completely riddled with errors, mis-information and conclusions utterly lacking in logic and facts. Please feel free to back it up...
Neither the clamshell hood nor the the trivialities of direction of rotation of pop up headlights would meet any reasonable definition of "radical" much less define an entire generation as 'radical'.
CLAMSHELL: While the Corvette is generally considered a 'high end' premium or luxury sports car...
More likely your trans is not going from OD (4th) into D (3rd) - rather the TCC is locking the torque converter - normally somewhere between about upper 30s to low 40s mph... Understand that it is ALREADY in 4th (OD) when this happens. It is common to confuse the lockup with the 3rd 4th upshift...
