I would have never thought of that. I'll have to remember that when I put mine back in (someday). I would have argued that there was no difference right to left.

I haven't seen the webbing for sell alone ever, at least since GM discontinued it through the Chevy Parts Dept. I see the kits for a wide range of prices from the various Corvette parts sources even though they more than likely all come from the same manufacturer. The odd thing is that the...
I have wondered about that too. E85 isn't the best during cold weather because of hard starting but these cars aren't usually driven in cold temperatures anyway. Even then you'd just go back to 93 until it warmed up.

A Pillar: Grounding point located where the A Pillar meets the frame...
It sounds like you are getting a 3-tiered run around. Do you have a Chevy dealer in your area that has a good reputation with Corvettes? My wife retired from a Chevy dealer where she was a service writer a few years ago. The didn't have any problem installing aftermarket parts on Corvettes or...
That is a pretty late number for friction latches, but the changeover date wasn't firm. It seems like both types were used after that for a time but 5500 to 6500 is accepted as the area with occasional ones outside that. Check your firewall for evidence of a hole in the area where mine pass...
I have owned my 59 since 1969, long before reproduction parts were a thing. Everything is all original parts as installed by GM in St. Louis. None of these cables have ever been out of the car. I don't see any oval grommets. The cables look to have been sealed with a wad of strip caulk. Maybe...
I'll go take a look. Mine has never been apart. Pictures were all right side up until I saved. Pic 3, 4 and 6 need to be 90* clockwise. 5 and 7 need to be 90* counterclockwise. Photo 6 is blurry but there is a firewall clip holding the cable right behind the road draft tube.
