    lotta readers around. me, i think in stock trim the pre-92's are slower than dogshit. base LT1's ain't much better. in this day and age, generally they're ready-made to get their doors blown off by your average family sedan, especially the earlier series.

    be careful about the broad brush. there's a big difference between an LT4 and an L98, and then worse yet you've got the L83. a C4 is not a C4.....

    i have been using cheap oil for 30 years. i've used it in every car i've owned, and that includes my white-trash modded up C4. i've owned it for 6 years now, its been modded for 5 1/2, and i gun it every day. never had a problem, never had oil issues, nary a thing. and i will gun it till i blow...

    leave flowmaster for beat up cars and redneck trucks. they're cheap and they make a low-brow C4 truck motor sound like a WWII army tank.

    all overkill for most of us daily drivers. keep it simple: buy the cheapest oil, whatever is on sale, make it dino oil. synthetic is a waste unless you're a major racer head. just change it every 5,000 miles. beyond that its pissing your $$ away and a waste of time.
