What would I like to see in the next generation C7

Good or great MPG like 30 MPG! The horsepower is great but we can't forget these are driving machines, i would hate to see them only in musuems because we can't afford to drive them. My 2003 Coupe still gets 27 MPG at 65 MPH down the road. I enjoy driving it and would gladly buy another one...

    Still the best C7 info/article: Chevrolet Corvette C7 - Sneak Preview 2008

I look forward to a retro-vette! I think that it should have new badging, not a remade C-6 but a new badge to reflect a new Vette. If it is a new Vette, i will be selling my 2003 Black/Black coupe. But if it isn't a new, i will be sticking with my almost new Vette! -Ed

Corvette Museum Expansion in the Works

NCM Expansion Does anyone know how much has been raised so far? How about the grant that the City of Bowling Green applied for to help with the cost? I visited the NCM on 13 June 2003 to pick up a Black/Black Coupe which we call "Maria".

    Help with aluminum gas pedal

Well, did you get it? I had a time with mine too. You will be glad when it is installed, it looks great. Did you get the dead pedal too? I installed both, they are great additions to my all black vert. Don't forget to wave, -Ed

    New to C5's!

Congrats! My 03' Vert is my first but i have loved Vettes since i can remember. I think that the hardest thing about owning a C-5 is finding the right dealer to handle warranty work. I used to live in Delaware and was a member of the 1st State Corvette Club (an awesome organization). I had a...

    Oil/Filter Changes

The oil filter is just a bit aft of the plug. You will need an oil filter socket to get it off. It is on there really tight but it will come off with a little effort. When you remove the filter there will be a fair amount of oil (hot oil) that will come out as soon as you loosen it. Be...

    What Wax to use

I have used Zaino Brothers exclusively since i bought my her this last summer. My Vette is black and you have to be very careful what you use on a black finish. I use carnuba on the polished wheels. She is garaged under cover if i am not driving her (due to foul weather) and i use a duster...

    Caliper painting process

An old painters trick... apply petrolum jelly to the part that you don't want painted. Then when your paint is dry, wipe away the jelly. Don't forget to wave!:Steer

    Getting Under Your C5

I have the RINO ramps and to get over the approach angle use some left over or new pieces of 1 X 4 wood scraps. Place the pieces (2) in front of each ramp, both flat ont the floor and perpendicular to the ramps. Your front air dam will still make contact but there should be no damage. I have...

    Oil/Filter Changes

Just in case you don't know... go to Pep Boys for good ramps that will acomidate the low front end of the C-5 Vette. The ramps are made by "RINO" and cost about $20. I use them along with a few pieces of appoach 1 X 2's to ease the angle up on to the ramps. Use a couple of 2 X 4's cut to...

Dealer Service Experience - How Can It Be Improved

I am glad to see folks talking about this topic, thanks Rob for bringing it up. I cringe at the thought of taking any of my vehicles to a dealer because the just don't care. I hoped that the Corvette would be different, i was wrong! I went to a local dealer in Dover, Delaware and asked to...

    Differences US vs Europe C5

I am surprised that no one listed the up graded brakes. All C-5s that are bought or exported to Europe have Z06 brakes installed as they come down the assembly line at BG. Saw this first hand.:Steer

    2004 Corvette

Sounds about right since they started building the 2004s around the first week of July. After they are assembled and ran through numerous tests they sit on the BG assembly plant grounds for two weeks in case any parts are recalled by vendors. Then they can be shipped to your dealer. Go check...
