thanks alot yet again! i'll have to check the car. if it came with an electronic kickdown, im sure the solenoid and all is still there and the cable is simply removed. if not, i'll just get another. thanks again!
okay guys. i tried tuning the carb today. got the fuel level and curb idle at what i thought was right and it ran fine for a few minutes then started to 'bog' again. i pulled the fuel filter and i found a washer in front of it. i removed that. i also found that they (the dealership) had a...
again for the help guys. i found the info i needed about the plug gaps on this page that has the same engine as mine. i removed the plugs and gapped them to .035 this evening. all of the plugs were wet when i removed them? im suprised that the car ran before hand. afterwards, it seems to run...
thanks guys! wishuwerehere, i recently done that but i couldnt find the screw on the passenger side of the carb. i'll have to give it another shot b/c only the left side has been adjusted. that was the mixture screw my dad was messing with so thats the one i was trying to correct it with...
To start off, its been a while since i've been around. Its good to be back. I've tried searching on this but i couldnt find an exact answer. In the last year and a half, I've had the tired 350 in my vette replaced with a GM crate engine. Its nothing special just a 250 or so hp crate engine...
You got a better deal than i did. My belts were right at $600. I've had them done about 2 years ago and now my drivers side retractor has failed (its seized up some how)...Im need to call them to see if they'll warranty them or not but i figured i'd get some Fbody belts...
this too happened to my 74. when i would press the switch, the ammeter would move but the window wouldnt. a year before this i had replaced the motor and regulator so i decided to check the switch first. when i got to the switch, it was corroded. i cleaned the corrosion and voila! my windows...

i bought a fuse puller from the local parts store and it is very much like this one from ecklers; however, i cannot figure out how to get the fuses out with it. any suggestions?
Does anyone have a diagram of the 74 fusebox? If so, please post it. Also, is there an 'easy' way to remove the fuses from the fusebox. I have one that feels like it is stuck in place and I do not want to mess anything up by yanking on it.

Mike,
There is a gathering tomorrow at Broadway at the Beach from 10AM-2PM. If this weather keeps up as it has been, they'll have an ugly day. However, I do believe tomorrow it is supposed to be somewhat sunny and the rain is supposed to halt. Unfortunately, a month ago I made plans for this...
Hello everyone. As sad as I am to announce this, I am trying to sell my 74. After having it for over three years, I've decided that I would rather have another vehicle. I have an online ad listeded on hemmings with the link below. I have replaced many parts on the car including a new GM 350 with...

I need some assistance in figuring out how the door lock knob goes back on the door lock on the inside drivers door of my 74. When i closed the door the other day, the lock knob and lock knob clip fell into the floorboard seperately. i have tried to put them back on the lock but fail to do so...
