anything special or r and r screen pan gasket fluid looks like a pain getting fluid in side hole of pan this is level check too right

HI there,
The most important part of this equation, is to get the CORRECT filter.
It will have a tube on the bottom of it to get into the lower section of the pan. If it does NOT have this tube, DO NOT USE IT.
Next, when you check the fluid, check your DIC as the temperature must be between 80-122 degrees F. Otherwise you level check will be inaccurate.

Hi C4C5
I don't understand the temp range 80-122F, Here in Arizona 122F could be a cold start, I can't recall what the transmission temp gets to but I'am sure it's well over 122F. What is a normal temp range to look for at a ambiant temp of say 117F at sustained highway speeds.

Hi there,
80-122 is the temperature at which you check your fluid level.
Normally, I recommend doing the filter change when the car is cold, like after it has been sitting overnight.
However, after you have been driving, you can get temperatures as high as 245 on really hot days.

Hi c4c5
I realized what you were saying about checking transmission warm after reading it a second time,Long day. Anyway thanks for the info on operating temp.
