Just bought a '03 C4 that has been sitting for 6 years. The Automatic Climate Control has no display and the heater-fan is running full on. The buttons are all unresponsive. There is a backlight to the system, so I know it is getting power. I am ready to pull the fan fuse as I am loosing weight. :) Any ideas?

Just a quick ??,Was the battery dead and did some one jump it off recently??:confused

PS Pull the codes both history(H) and current(C) and post them please,Well see if we can help you out!~!!:thumb
You don't need to clear the codes yet!~!:thumb:thumb

Turn the key to the ON position, but don't start the engine. Clear any present messages by pressing the RESET button. Hold the OPTIONS button down, and press the FUEL button 4 times. This will get you into the CODES section of the DIC. The computer will automatically display all the codes your car has created. It will cycle through each code every 3 seconds. Any code that ends in H is a history code (something that has occured in the past) but is fine now. Once the computer has finished going through all of it's codes, press RESET to enter Manual Configuration mode. It should start with a module and show "NO CODES" or "# CODES".

To optionally reset the codes once in manual mode, press and hold RESET until it displays "NO CODES". Press OPTIONS to go to the next module. Repeat the steps in this paragraph until you have reset the codes in all the computer modules
. NOTE !! Only reset the codes IF you want to - it is NOT necessary to do this.

Oh Yeah,Mac,Yoda,Tom,Jane Ann or Who Ever can you move this to C5 section for him please.

I don't know what I was thinking when I posted this. I have actually have '93 C4 with this problem NOT an '04. So sorry to waist everyones time. If possible, can someone kill this thread and I will start a new one.
