Will they fit under the stock valve covers?
Which ones to get for an 84 crossfire?
How do you install them? Is it pretty easy, do you just unbolt the old ones and bolt the new ones in?

Where is the chapest place to get them, ebay?

DO NOT use full rollers, you have to cut out your rocker covers and they still might not entirely clear. Not to mention, you'll get the same hp gain in our car from roller tipped rockers. Save money, same power, looks stock!

Which roller tip rockers should I get?

I used Comp Cams, JEGS sells a set for 90 bucks or so that would work fine.

Crane or Comp both make roller tips, I believe Jegs and Summit also offer their own, which would probably be the most cost effective way to go. Any of those would be good.

How do you install them? Just unbolt the old ones and put the new ones on? In any order?

xrcrx, how fast is your x-fire now? still low 14's?

On the stock block CFI-she got into the 13's. I havn't had time for a tune , though the 7747 is installed and I now have a 383. it's is currently(gasp)carbed. I am not done with the CFI, just time challenged so the car is at least drivable. There is a specific method to installing the rockers. i will have to post a link when I get back online. The 1.6's will give you the best all around bang for the buck! You will feel the difference all the time and the gain in the quarter is right at a half second off your previous time!

Comp Cams 141816 -self aligning-3/8 have been demonstrated to work without any mods to the valve cover drip tabs, the push rods, or the push rod slot in the heads.

Install them without any additional guides.

You should check for position of the roller tip on the valve top with a sharpie marker and verify that you dont have any head slot to push rod interference.

Have fun...

Adjusting Hydraulic Lifters

Installing new rocker arms requires adjusting the hydraulic lifters.

Here's a "How To" from Comp Cams before you button things up and try to start the engine:

COMP CAMS® “How-To” - Valve Lash Adjustment - CPG Nation Forum

Double check your Service Manual as think your adjustment is 1 turn after zero lash is achieved.

For me, I do the following:
I first zero lash the lifters with engine off.
I use an old SBC steel valve cover with the upper third cut off and bolt it in place with a valve cover gasket and put rocker arm clips on the pushrod ends of the rocker arms to prevent the oil from squirting all over the place.
With the engine running and warmed up, I adjust the valves 1/4 turn at a time on each valve down the bank of valves so the lifters will adjust to the new setting. I do this until I reach 1 full turn from zero lash.
