hey everyone i'm new to the forum and looking for some help. i can't decide if a discount on the 6 speed automatic 2014 or full price on an 8 speed is a better deal. i look forward to looking around the forum and getting feed back from all of you.

Thanks

Since we're spending your money, go for the big dog...

Welcome to the forum, I'm also new. The research that I've completed, the eight speed has it all over the six speed! It has more clutches engaged at all times, it's lighter and fits the same space. It also is quicker than the new seven speed stick. I'm getting the 2015 Zo6 with the eight speed automatic.
I only get to pick once!

How important is it to have the extra money in your pocket or a smaller loan payment compared to having the newer, better auto trans in your Vette?

Then again, you could go the the 7-speed manual and buy a '14 and not worry about the auto.

I heard the only way you are going to get an 8 speed in 15 is in the Z06........sooooo, what color ya getting.....:thumb

This is a good place to be all these decisions can strain the brain though. Here is my thought on the matter and as I see it, I have the six speed stick and most the time don't even need this many, four (4) speed would work just fine. You know give us a 4 speed and we want 6 give us a 6 speed and we want 8 :louHave to wonder what options will be available in 2020, will there be a 20 speed available or will 1 speed be the thing then ;shrug In the event I didn't welcome you to the group let me do that now, WELCOME TO CORVETTE ACTION CENTER we're glad you've joined us :happyanim: Whatever you get will become obsolete right after you sign the paper work if not while signing them!!

Welcome to CAC!!!
enjoy!!!!!
good luck with your decision....

Welcome to our humble forum. There are bargains out there on 14s, and none on 15s. Is the 8 speed worth 4-6 thousand bucks? Your call.
