1962 Corvette frame numbers

Does anyone know what these numbers mean? They are on a '62 frame:

CSO-483-80 & 3744337

The frame is supposedly original, however they don't seem to represent the '62 VIN.

The 3744337 is the part number for a replacement 53-62 rear frame cross member, so it may have been changed after an accident.

Not sure what the other numbers mean... where are they located? Are they stamped or paint-stencils?

The VIN derivative is usually stamped atop the left frame rail about even with the front of the driver's seat; it cannot be accessed with the body on the frame.

Jim,

Those rear crossmembers were prone to rust out also. That part was available from GM for many years after most C1 stuff was dropped and was very popular.
