Howdy Jeff, I have a very nice original 9 leaf out of my '66, no idea what it is worth and shipping from 87043 (Albuquerque) may eat you up. What's it worth to you? Bill

Thank you very much for the offer.
Unfortunately the 63 spring is a one year only style.

According to NCRS...
The 3 top leafs are not flat in 63 like they were for 64-67.

This is my whole problem. :eyerole
I am redoing the chassis on my 63,
and I currently have an aftermarket spring installed from a former owner.
That spring works just fine,
so I figured I would look for the exact one I need.
Not a big hurry - going to wait for the perfect fit.

Thanks for trying - I really appreciate it.

Jeff,
I might have what you're looking for...I have a '63 and got the rear spring with the sale. The car came with a composite on there when purchased. Since I don't have the original motor, I'd be willing to part with it. I guess I'll have to track it down in the garage and take a pic of it for you to see if it's what you're looking for.

Today isn't cold, but we got slammed with some snow the past few days. I spent 9 years between North Dakota and Alaska, so this "cold" really isn't cold to us ;). I'll get a pic ASAP for you to see.

Jeff,
I counted the leafs...there are indeed 9. Here are a few more pics to show the leafs. Let me know if theses are good.

After closer inspection. it looks to be an aftermarket spring.
But I really want to thank you for your help - really thought it was the one. :thumb
I have a feeling - This one year spring is not going to be easy to find.

Aftermarket huh? What would tip you off to that? Just curious, I'm always looking to learn more. Too bad I couldn't help.

I really appreciate the help - a shame for sure.
It would have been great.
The first that I noticed was that the top leaf is flat.
That is different then the usual configuration---
64-67 the top 3 are flat, or in 63 - none are flat.

On yours - ALL the leafs don't have the little curve at the end.
Actually it looks like it could have been be a factory spring with leafs added during a repair?
Something is off - the configuration is not typical

Here is a picture of a 63 spring.
as removed, and then apart for restoration.

Got it....I checked mine again, looks like I have all but two that are curved at the end on the curved pieces, and then of course the bottom one is flat. Not sure about it's history on a Corvette...it now doesn't seem to fit any of the mid-year descriptions, but sure is close. Possibly off a different Chevy make I suppose.

Looks like you could just have that bottom piece bent to suit your needs IF all the other dimensions fit.

Good luck trying to track down what you need Jeff.
