2016 C7.R Z06 "ROSA" - black 'Vert w/yellow accent
Folks,

As many of you may remember, I am restoring my 1963 Z06 "LADY". Well, I finally have some pictures posted to show that the restoration is continuing. Please check out LADY at:

Beautiful. I love it.

wow.....

wow...... i only wish someday to have the wisdom to take on a project like that.... :BOW keep up the great work!!

What a great looking job.

BTW, that shop that I see in the background and the progress of the frame looks really familiar. Are you doing this work at "Collector Car Museum" in Gaithersburg?

If you are, I saw your car in person while I was purchasing my car. At the time - first week in March - it was still basically down to mostly just the frame and not too much else. Sorry, I can't remember what other progress there was at the time because I was so excited about getting my own car. The shop owner also showed me the body that was off the frame which is a black SWC body. Is this your car?

If this is the same car, it's going to be BEAUTIFUL when it's done from what I can see.

Good luck with everything in either case.

Barry

Looks fantastic! Great job. Can't wait to see the body progress.

Barry,

that was my black SWC that Tony showed you! yes, we have come a long ways since you saw her! if all goes well this week, should have the interior all back in NEW! and, then possibly we could have body and frame remate this weekend! will keep all posted. of course, then it is all the little bugs that crop up, and then the FINAL first firing of the engine! It has been bench fired, etc., but still can't wait for that official first fire.

67, John, Bob, Studiog - thanks for all your kind comments. It has been a long 6 months or so. Still a ways to go, before Lady is alive. Will keep all posted.

Looks fantastic Rick. You have come a long way.

Tom

WOW, what ironry, I'm probably the newest memeber of this forum and I got to see your car before anyone else
LOL
I did love seeing her when I got the chance. Unfortunatly (for me anyway because of why i'll be back there) it looks like I'll get to see her again pretty soon as I've got to get my new baby back to Collector Car Museum for repair of an issue that has cropped up since I brought her home. Luckily Keith seems to be a great guy and is standing behind the car and said for me not to worry about it and he will get the issue resolved.

At least i'll get to see the progress on your LADY while I'm there dropping off the car and than again when I return to pick her up again after they fix the problem.
If nothing else, I do look forward to seeing your LADY again as the work being performed when I saw her the first time did interest me greatly even if I was distracted with excitement over getting my own car. Maybe i'll get lucky and get to see LADY with her body back on.

She looks great and I know you are happy and proud of how she is coming along.

Barry,

thanks for all your comments - you are right about Keith - great guy who stands behind everything! I think I remember seeing the car you bought - if it the one I remember, it was a GORGEOUS green coupe! I remember Keith giving the car a fantastic buff-n-shine

Tom.

thanks - only wish I was able to join you all at the Fest! But, I will be at Wildwood, NJ that same weekend trying to get LADY through PV! Then, it will be on to Bloomington for a GOLD, and finally to Windsor National NCRS for a TOP FLIGHT!

:w Beutiful car, I envy yoy having two Z06's like that and applaud your restoration :D

She is looking fantastic. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Yes, so far Keith has been great about it and is very concerned about me getting the car back there so they can fix the problem. I just hope it's not TOO major of a job. we have yet to determine until he can look at it if the motor is going to need to get pulled for the proper repair or not..............

Mine is a Milano Maroon '65, not Green but that's ok - in either case it can't hold a candle to how beautiful we can all see LADY is going to turn out.
In fact, right now I'm down in Charlotesville, VA for business, maybe I'll have to swing by and take at a look at LADY tomorrow on my way home depending on what time i'd be hitting that area of the beltway to take a small detour.
LOL

Great work on LADY really enjoyed the pics. Good luck on the judging sounds like you have your while summer planned out already.

Congrats on the progress,

Tom M

66,

thanks for the comments! will be busy summer - Wildwood NCRS in May; Bloomington in June; Windsor National NCRS in July - then of course, all the local NCCC shows around the MD/NoVA area - and of course Carlisle in August, which I can't wait for - long trips I will "trailer LADY", but Carlisle she will be driven like Zora wanted her to be!

Beautiful

Simply AWESOME!
