I have a 1964 conv that is all numbers matching, It did not come with ac I want to put vintage ac on the car the problem is that my altenator is on the passenger side (right) on the 63-64 corvette. The person at vintage air said I should move the altenator to the driver side (left) because of the ac hoses I don't want to do that, my question is did the 64 corvette that came with ac was the altenator on the right side or the left side ..motor

Factory Air on your car would have the compressor on the passenger side and the alternator on the drivers side.

They were correct. To add the vintage air you need to move the alternator to the drivers side and the AC compressor goes on the passenger side. If it was a factory a/c car this is the way it would be also.

don't forget that the battery for factory ac cars is on the driver side along with an access panel in the wheel well
