What is the going price for one of those? Either repro or NOS.

*Edit* - Oops, for Powerglide, no power windows.

About $CA800.00 by the time you get it across the border, Paul.

Ouch!! I asked the question because most catalogues simply say "Inquire." Guess it's time to go to Canadian Tire and get a rattle can of paint.

I have decided to use a rebuild kit and re-paint my current console. The white-metal chrome areas are in very good condition.

Good luck. Very easy to do but just requires a lot of patience. Search for previous threads on the topic. Make sure that you strip it clean first and then apply a light fog of black etching primer.

That looks like the way to go. It should look like new. Good article.

Tom

Picked this one off EBay for $200.00. Chrome is flawless. Front plates are somewhat scratched. I will rebuild with a kit and paint. Love these little projects.

Yes, I will reburbish and either re-use or sell as pristine on EBay. Those Powerglide consoles tend to be rare. Few of us like C2 automatics.

Paul,

Do you remember exchanging a few e-mails with me a little while back, regarding one of your consols. ?

Yes, I remember. I am having a minor fitment issue (rear screws alignment) with this new console so I am not ready to give up the old one yet. I may refurbish it as well.

Paul,

If you decide to refinish it, the color of my interior is Red. :D
