I have a 1966 vette with the original bill of sale that shows the rear end as the G81 positrac axle . Does anyone know what the gear ratios for this rear end are?

If you tell us the engine/transmission combination, we can tell you what the standard ratio would have been. G-81 doesn't tell us the specific ratio.

I'm showing that option 2G81JA was a posi 308 . .but I"m not sure how accurate that is . .you're better off getting the number off of the differential . . .codes for that were;AL=3.08,AM=3.36,AN=3.55,AO=3.70,AP=4.11

I"m assuming you have a small block, codes were different for the 427.
