I have a '67 coupe with the original L79 327 350 hp engine still in it. The miles are fully documented at currently 35,500. Last year I had to replace one of the front rotors due to grooving discovered when I did the brakes and found the front rotors both to be still original with the intact rivets (a good sign - expected at these miles).
My question is that today I changed out the fuel pump, it had gone bad. New one works great. The old one has AC in raised letters on both sides of the neck and the number "228U40503" stamped in the side of the flange interface on the lower left edge surface. Could it be the original fuel pump?
Nolan Adams book does not go into details about fuel pump identification, I've looked there. Anyone here know?
Thanks in advance!
