1968 VIN tag ???

Can someone tell me the 68s had a VIN tag on the front dash.
I was trying to get a seller to email me a picture of the block stamp and the VIN tag but he didnt think they had one in 68.
Is that true?if so when did they start??

I have an Oct 67 delivered '68 and the VIN tag is on the left hand windshield pillar.....not fancy by any means...just an embossed plate riveted on....

...the VIN tag is on the left hand windshield pillar...

All C3s have the VIN tag riveted to the driver's windshield post. The VIN is visible from outside the car.
