Does anyone know how much difference there is between '69 and '70 front grill bumperettes? My '69 has previously had the front end changed over to '70 parts due to old accident. I can't tell if the previous owner used '69 or '70 bumperettes since there is no number on them. Are the two years interchangeable? Most catalogues show different part numbers for each year. I'm not very far along with the restoration and need a complete '69 front end, so I can't do a mockup to tell if they fit. Any one familiar with this problem?

I can only go by old time memory. I believe the 69's are all chrome and the 70's are frosted in the upper inside at the curve.I believe this is the difference. Hope this helps!

All my catalogs show 68 - 69 as the same part number. 70 - 72 are a different number.
I just put new ones on my 68 from Ecklers and they came from:

Vette Products of Michigan
Lake Orion, MI
248-693-1907

They are tagged as 68/69

I'll bet they can answer the question though...

Good luck

I agree, and I think there is a small difference in the shape of it also.I think there is an extra grove in it .:w
